I've just started researching both sides of my family's lines so I'm very new to this. Hopefuly I can help add some information other people are looking for. I'm retired and it's just me and my little dog. I'm finding genealogy very interesting but also very frustating at times. I'm currently working on the Gentry's of KY. and have also done the Steen's. Both sides include several different surnames and serveral different cemetery's.
John Webb Steen Hello! My name is Elaine Steen Ledlow and John Webb Steen is my Great Great Grandfather and I would like to talk to you at greater length about the information you have on the family. I am just really getting into this. My brother Kenneth Steen had a great deal of information but I have been unable to locate the person who has taken it over since his death. Any help would be appreciated and I will do what I can to maybe fill in blanks I can. Thank you Elaine
Henry R McCullar "Rick" Uncle Rick wanted me to send you a message. He does'nt have internet right now. We were looking up his family on here and found you. He asked if I would send you a message for him. Thank You and he hopes to hear back from you. Linda
RE: Lt. Col. James F. Steen I was refering to Capt. John Jackson the Grandfather of Stonewall Jackson. Since I am very interested in Civil War history, particularly that of General TJ Jackson, I was happy to come across a potential relative of his, that is all there is to it. I have no idea who LTC James Steen is and I am sorry if I offended you by asking anything. I guess I should have left it at "you're Welcome."
