I first came to FindAGrave while doing genealogical research. I'm particularly interested in the Camerons (from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia), the Wallaces (Maine and Massachusetts), Lockwoods (CT), Skidmores (NY), Langleys (NS) & Nolans (NS).|
I've since taken to photographing the gravestones of non-relatives as well, in part to assist others looking into their own family histories. In addition, I'm interested in preserving stones that are nearly illegible, and in danger of disappearing forever. When creating new memorials, I always try to add as much biographical information as I can find.
I don't mind having my photographs used by others, but request that you give me credit.

I agree -- I wouldn't change it, as that is what's on the headstone. It's odd how insistent her two surviving children were on calling her Elizabeth -- the fact that you have Elizabeth incorporated in the memorial should help those gggrandchildren who go searching for Granny Elizabeth ;)

Thank you for transferring Ione Mears Palmer site for me to maintain.

I'm delighted that someone located the grave of Margaret S Hill Johnson. She was the wife of my great great uncle George Stevenson Johnson (who was a Provincetown whaler).
How did you come upon her grave? Are you related to the family?
I've added George as William Foye Johnson's father through the Edit feature whenever you get a chance to review it.
If you happen upon any of the other Johnson children (Richard Perry Johnson, Mary Mamie Eleanor Johnson, Andrew Garfield Johnson) and can add them, that would be great as well.
Thanks again for these Johnson memorials.

Thank you for your efforts - greatly appreciated!!!

Deleted the duplicate. Sometimes my signal hangs up and I have to hit refresh.
I have Langley/Longley from ME/NS in my family tree but know precious little about her - Ellen Langley who married William Hannam in 1855 in Lubec, ME. She's my 3rd great-grandmother. Some hints suggest Annapolis/Bridgeport for origins.
P.S. My cousin lives in Wellesely, hence my visit to Woodlawn. I grew up in Whitman MA, but live in GA.
Thanks so much for the pictures, and how beautiful the cemetery looks! Your help is very much appreciated.

Thanks for updating the photo (it is a noticeable improvement) and adding the headstone to Sarah. I think that's really cool for you to enjoy her sampler and have that daily reminder of where you came from!

Hi. Just got into this part of the myriad of Lockwood relatives and was wondering why you didn't post the headstone to his wife's memorial. I actually found it it on ancestry through him. Maybe you can put it up?
Thanks for the many photos you have put out there!
Woodlawn Cem.in Norfolk Co.--Hi I would like to add his obituary to his memorial. I don't want to add it as a photo. How do I add it as a Bio? Or does that not work that way?-Thank You,Mary

Thanks for taking the photo of the Greatheads gravemarker. I didn't know they were all listed on one stone.
