Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love this site! I appreciate the work of people who make these memorials and those who take the photos to match. Because of the work of others I have found several 'long-lost' ancestors. I don't know that I would have found them any other way. Thank you to all who have made an entry, taken a photo, made a transfer, or created links between family members.

I am a retired teacher and I live in Michigan. I have been making entries and taking photos of the cemeteries around me in several counties. I'm happy to make edits and links and transfers.

I'm not the best photographer around, but I'm learning as I go. Please feel free to use any photo I've taken.

RE: Derinda Belcher Bailey
Laura, My maiden name is Bailey- yes what can I say! It has many spellings. My first thought was to put what was on the marker, so that duplicate memorials are not made for this family. You could put a note in the bio like for Coulter-Colter. That might help when doing research. Just a thought.

Thank you for taking the auto edits for Mercy Sands Raymond. She has the interesting story of 'enriched by the apron".

Laura,
Many thanks for the pictures of Fojut headstones.
I have some pictures of them from one hundred years ago. They were cousins of my grandmother's. I don't make it to Manistee very often. Thanks
again. Dana

Bradl
I think we are somewhat kin. I have been working on the Bradl family in Ludington both on here and on ancestry. My Great Great Great Grandmother was Anna Bradl (married to Joseph Horacek) Her brothers were Joseph and Frank. One of them had a Ranville in their offspring. I am assuming you must be related since you took over the Bradl grave. I was just wondering if you had any old family stories about the Bradls or anything of the such. All I have on Joseph and Anna Bradl) Horacek is that they had an 80 acre fruit orchard just off Stiles Road in Ludington. I found Annas parents names but not whether or not they immigrated too etc.

RE: Claiming all of Cheboygan
Oh "submit the corrections and you'll be happy to make the corrections." Does that translate into; you are going to hold onto all the people in Cheboygan, like you have been doing? Is that how you answer a question? That is exactly what you have been doing and the work is not getting done and the family members continue to not have their own family. Is that what you are saying?

RE: Claiming all of Cheboygan
I am more than aware of the new changes.

They ARE MY FAMILY members, not my husbands.

As far as being rude...you are extremely disrespectful to family members wishing to place more feelings into their memorial pages than can be placed there by someone who is doing a data key punch service. Therefore, you should take a double look at who is being rude. All I did was state the facts.

Claiming all of Cheboygan
Are you still claiming all of the people in Cheboygan or can people such as myself now update these records to share with their families?

You just holding onto to them all to "sort out" your husband's side of the family is extremely unfair when they can be updated. Several people are asking why I am not updating them and I explain how you will not transfer them to family members.

Currently, the O'Connor family in St. Francis needs to be updated. No one is linked together, you have people named Mrs. Frank O'Connor, you have incorrect or no dates at all. I can have all of them completed within 15 minutes.

Consider how many people you hold back from doing there family trees due to your selfishness in holding on to them. If it turns out one is a relative of your husband...then it is a win win situation for all involved.

RE: Charlotte Gaylord
Dear Laura,

You are most welcome. I was very happy when I saw your grandmas
stone. Those guys really did the work and on their own volition. Few
town agencies would go so far to make restorations

John Gaylord 1714-1778
According to the book "Families of Ancient New Haven" by Donald Lines Jacobus, John Gaylord was born in Durham, Ct and died in Bristol, CT.

While looking for Benjamin Gaylord, I found this information and thought you might want it. There are several pages of Gaylords in this book and if you are interested, I can scan the pages and send them to you in an email. The date range is 1641 to the mid 1800's. These books were written in 1923.
