I added pics to William and his wife's pages. I put captions on the area shots.

RE: Dillons
That is a good question about Thomas' middle name. Maybe the gravestone is wrong? It happens but not very often.
Thanks for making the page for Christene Dillon, BUT. You did not put in a request for pictures of her grave. I was hoping that you could do that.

Hi. Sorry I do not know if or where he is buried. I was under the assumption he was cremated.

RE: Ulloms
The only WA death records I have access to are on's index and the State of Washington Digital Archives web site has WA death records transcribed on their web site.

RE: Pe Ell
I don't think so. Never even heard of the place. On Google I see it is teeny tiny, and wayyyy out in the bungies over toward the WA coast, but, quite a ways inland. The town is so small they probably don't even have their own newspaper. The closer you get to the coast, OR and WA, the smaller the towns get and the harder it is to find any info on anybody who lives/lived there and/or cemetery info included.
Once in a blue moon there might be somebody in the Portland news about somebody over there but it would only be if they used to live in Portland and moved over there and were well known by somebody in Portland or some such thing. Or if they did something wild and crazy to attract statewide or national attention.
Otherwise the best bet would be to look for the next large town or small city if one is not too far away and they would be the ones who would cover the area news wise. Then if you look for a library web site in that town or small city and contact them they might have access to the local paper and even have somebody at the library who will look up an obit for you. Just depends on a few things like how nice the person who is running the place is or if their staff is over worked and underpaid and have a gun to their head to perform, those kind of places won't usually do much for anybody to keep up with their workload.
For Pe Ell I would think your best bets for news coverage would be Aberdeen, and Longview. I know that Longview has a good library and has microfilm. I think Aberdeen does too. Even the Vancouver Library would be a better option than Portland for that little town. The Vancouver Library has tons of genealogical books in their genealogy section and tons of microfilm of the Vancouver newspaper. Somebody there might look for an obit for you, somebody that works at the library that is. I have not been up there for about 10 years.
The Clark County Genealogical Society in Vancouver might have some info on that area even, and they have a web site. Somebody there might have some good advice at least.
Just for fun I just searched the name Ullom in the Oregonian date base index. I got 99 hits. In glancing through that I notice a few of them came up for the name Cullom and ullom is part of that name. There was a long list of 317 drivers who had their driver license suspended in a 1958 news story and Thomas Henry Ullom was one of them. Hah. For 90 days. It did not say what naughty thing he did to "earn" that penalty. Darn. :-]
Tell me a name and I can see if anything comes up on them.
It only takes a few seconds to look somebody up.

Photo request for Samuel Ullom in Washington Cemetery
I am sorry to advise you that there is no marker in Lot 35 of Section N of the Washington Cemetery for Samuel Ullom. However, I will use a photo that shows the empty space around an existing marker in Lot 35 to fulfill your photo request. There will be a descriptive caption with the photo (need to click on the photo to see the caption). If you are not satisfied with the photo, please let me know and I will remove it.
