Bio Photo ***********************************************

I've also got to add bios to most of my memorials. It's just hard for me to come up with something befitting most of my memorials...some are more special than anyone will ever know!

***********************************************

I wish I could add "everyones' everyone" to my Virtual Cemetery. There's just no way possible. If I have visited a love one of yours, they should be in my Virtual Cemetery. If I don't make it around to see them often, I'll make it around for their Birthdays and Angel Days. It's so sad that I have more Unknown Birthdays and Unknown Angel Days than any others. I've got to come up with a way as to when I'll visit them. Thinking on it!

***********************************************

IF I DO NOT MAKE IT TO YOUR PAGE TO THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS, OR LOVED PETS, AND LEAVING THEM SUCH LOVELY FLOWERS/TOKENS AND MESSAGES, PLEASE KNOW THAT I TRULY DO APPRECIATE YOUR KINDNESS. IT WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.

Born Sandra Gail Baker in Eureka, California. Daughter of Tom (John Thomas) (December 23, 1918 - January 9, 1994) and Edna Joyce Broomfield Baker (July 7, 1925 - August 22, 1993). Most of my growing up days were here in SW Arkansas, where my parents were born and raised and passed on. I have 4 siblings, 2 of which are deceased. I lost 4 immediate family members in 5 years (daddy, mom, brother and sister). Then I lost my oldest nephew 2 1/2 years later.

I am kinda surprised how many family and friends I have located here on FAG; and I have, also, added several family members, friends, and loved pets. I think FAG is a wonderful idea. How many of us can really go and visit all of our family and loved ones as much as we'd like; and, also, I find it will be great for those working on their genealogy. We really do need to preserve those before us. They really do not deserve to be forgotten!

Light a Candle

Light a candle for those we mourn.
Into a new life they will be born.
Do not look for them at the gravesite.
They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.
They have gone to a new world where there is no darkness, no pain.
Their light and essence will always remain.
Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place.
They are free to travel through time and space.
When we think of them, they are near.
When we sit in a beautiful garden. Their voices we hear.
When we listen to a divine symphony,
We close our eyes, their faces we see.
Light a candle for they have not really gone.
With each flickering flame, in your hearts they will always belong.

The Dash Poem

I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end
He noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years
For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not how much we own;
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard.
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real
And always try to understand
The way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
And more often wear a smile
Remembering that this special dash
Might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy is being read
With your life's actions to rehash
Would you be proud of the things they say
About how you spent your dash?
1996 Linda Ellis

THANK YOU
SAndy,
Thank you for leaving a token for my daughter Melissa Renee Spangrude. Second year without Melissa. Are you in Ar. now? I have some friends I've known since my sister & her friend were 12 years old. Like 1960? They live in Searcy, Ark.? Don't know if city is spelled right. I'm just a native californian. Hope this finds you well Try to make rounds on F.A.G. But my thing here keeps disconnecting.

Transfer of (2) Broomfields
Sandy,

I just created today, two memorials for Broomfields, who are interred in Camp Ground Cemetery. I have transferred them to you, since you descend from this family.
In order to get your member number, I had to go to your public page. I was delighted to see that you also like poetry, And not only that you enjoyed placing meaningful peoms on the memorials. Today, I am going to add you to my friends list, since we have this in common, and who knows what else. I am using an old 1999 cemetery list and these, I checked, were not included on Find A Grave. I have some other memorials I am creating in this same cemetery, that if I knew you were related would transfer them also. You might check back later, to see if there are any new memorials on that site, and if they are related to you, I will gladly transfer them. I am just trying to help others, complete their memorials. If you wish to change poems that I have put on the bio area, feel free to do so. You know more about this family than I do.
I wish you could get the other Broomfield's
in that cemetery transferred to you, or is Michelle related?
