Note: any reference to the city of Washington versus the county of Washington, both of which were used in the early days of the District of Columbia (D.C.) will be omitted on my memorials or any requests to alter them since the residence of the deceased and/or the actual place of death would also have to be known and before 1850 or so. The city was divided into several parts when drawn up and laid out in the 1790s but these distinctions were dropped long before 1850. There is a need for some memorials of an early date to have this but for most others it is not accurate any longer. All are just Washington, D.C.

Betty Bartlett’s marker
Thank you so much for adding the grave marker to Betty Bartlett’s memorial, she was a class mate of mine at Bladensburg high school. I have since moved away from the Bladensburg area. I had called the cemetery on many occasions to inquire if there was a marker, they never got back to me. Thanks again for the picture and for all your work on Find A Grave.

Roy and Daisy Holmes
Fred,

Thanks again for the photo of Roy and Daisy (Barrett) Holmes marker.

Love being able to add the markers for my family tree and there are so many I don't have. I could keep you very busy! (you wouldn't want to go to Iowa and Minnesota, would you?)

Anyway, thanks again.

Yea! Thank you Fred for the grave pictures of "Daddy Bob" and "Mother Perry". Appreciate your help! There is also a request out there by the person maintaining Ernest Perry (140016220). As I recall his grave is near the road and a tree in Section 26, Lot 227, Site 1. If you get an opportunity to fulfill this request could you also take a picture of the view from his grave showing the road and the tree. Thanks!
