RE: Silver Springs
Jerry, I talked to a lady who is from the Spout Springs community. She says there is an old man named Aaron Davis who might remember that cemetery, but she didn't have his phone no. She says there is a man named Vertis Gates who drinks coffee at MacDonald's who might know Mr. Davis. She thinks there was a cemetery down there somewhere, but that it has probably disappeared because people have forgotten about it. We also don't have any idea who might be buried there, because most of our ancestors who lived in the Silver Springs settlement are buried in the Richardson Cemetery.

RE: Silver Springs
Sorry it took me so long to answer you. My netbook died, and I think my desktop has a virus because it won't let me get into a lot of sites. Anyway, I have a new netbook now. I know some people who live in the Spout Springs/Silver Springs area. Soon as I can, I'll ask some of them if they've ever heard of it.

RE: Silver Springs
I've never heard of a Silver Springs Cemetery. The nearest cemetery to where the Silver Springs settlement was is the Richardson/Adams Cemetery. If you look at a section map of Tippah county, Richardson Cemetery is on county road 529. This is in R5E T3S, section 33. Go back to county road 530 and take a left. This road winds to the left and down the hill into the bottom. Silver Spring Creek is in this bottom and that is where the settlement was. Obidiah Reuben Richardson, who is buried at the Richardson Cemetery, owned land in Section 34, and his son, John Richardson, who is also buried at Richardson Cemetery, owned land in Section 27. If you look at the map (which is on the internet) you will see SILVER SPRINGS HILL to the northeast of Silver Spring Creek. That area is not a hill, it is bottom land, now known as Hatchie Bottom. I'm thinking that Silver Springs Hill is probably the hill that Richardson Cemetery is on, there just wasn't room for those words on that exact spot on the map. I have no idea when that map was made. Most of the early burials in Richardson Cemetery were families who lived in the Silver Springs settlement, and I suspect that there are a lot of unmarked graves there. I live in Tippah Co., in the Golden Hill Community. Hope this info helps. I will ask some people who live, or are originally from the Silver Springs and Spout Springs area if they have ever heard of a Silver Springs cemetery, but I'm thinking that Richardson Cemetery is it.

RE: Gray's Cemetery
This is all done. I was creating this from my phone and misspelled Cemetery. I cannot get that corrected. Any hints?
