Lamoyn M. Wolfe photo
Patty,
I am very sorry that I have not looked at Lamonyn's page in the last few years. Thank you for adding the photo in 2014. He was a cousin of my wife's grandmother. Mark Patterson

RE: Frank Senglaub
Hi,

Not sure about this, but I transferred Frank Senglaub's memorial to you. Not sure but I have not been on this site in a long time. Sorry for the long wait

You are welcome. It was a gorgeous day and because of the requests I had a good excuse to be outside. When I saw her record, I saw how she fit into the scheme for you. I remember the Schankes well. I always try to come through for the Oak Hill photos.

RE: Infant Boy Williams
I'm glad you looked at it and are fairly sure that it's him. I was going to set up a memorial for him, but am a stickler for being as accurate as possible. I want to get as many people named and documented there as possible. I'm glad that you not only have some great resources and experience, but are so giving of your time and helpful. You're a gem and I sincerely appreciate your help. I have pics of at least five more "unreadable" headstones. Together I think we can at least make a big dent in your list. I keep finding more of my relatives that logically should be in North Union or Burr Oak (Burr Oak being in Marshall County doesn't help), but I can't find them. I have a bulldog emergency going on at the moment. After his surgery on Wednesday, I'll email you and hopefully we can set up our strategy ;-). Thanks for the info on the books and I'll probably end up buying at least two.

Handshaw seems to be a non person. However there is a possible connection to John Leopold; his son Harry married Huldah Castleman, I can't connect them, but Huldah's father Joseph could have been a nephew of David, both of them are buried in this cemetery as I believe Huldah's grandfather William is also. I don't have any way to prove it, but then Castleman isn't exactly Smith and having that many with Ohio connections in one places seems possible. The joker in the deck is Huldah's maternal Grandmother seems to be a Chapman who is no connection to my kin. Apparently none of the Parkers are in North Union though.

I know this is a stretch to say Phebe buried her still born child in a cousin's lot, but then again maybe they were more forgiving of her remarriage than her children were?

My apologies, I complicated things by listing Phebe's full name history; she is in the cemetery as just Phebe Castleman. And of course I am "assuming" Son Chapman is the child of hers by Clinton Chapman. My assumption would probably be proved or disproved if we knew who Son Chapman's plot belonged to. just located Clinton's burial place, I figured he would be in Starke Co, but he is in Argos, Marshall Co in a defunct cemetery.

Infant Boy Williams
Hi Patty,

I just added a pic to your memorial for Infant Williams in North Union #153106314. This was one of the pics that I couldn't quite make out or link. If I'm wrong about this pic belonging with this memorial, just let me know and I'll delete it.

Could you possibly send me a link to purchase the Starke County Cemetery book (#2 I believe) that contains the listings for North Union? I thought I'd saved the link to purchase the books but now can't find it. Of course :-P I'm going to go through the rest of the pics and will email you at your regular addy. I'll also send my phone number.

Thanks so much!

Kellee

I have reason to believe Son Chapman was the child of my great Uncle Clinton Chapman and Phebe Onstott Castleman Chapman, the latter of whom is also in this cemetery. I am writing because my records indicate the infant was stillborn on 19 August 1875. While the cousin who supplied this information is very thorough and reliable I do not have her source information.
