I only recently joined Find-A-Grave but began my genealogy research in 1995. I began in the pursuit of some "family tales and legends" which I had always assumed were "exaggerated stories" -- somewhat like the "big-fish-that-got-away" stories my father would tell after one of his fishing expeditions. I have been amazed to find that these "tales and legends" are, in fact, significant historical facts beyond my wildest imagination.
As I found data during my research, I began to explore branch marriages which has guided me to most of the early settlers in the Hochheim/Concrete area of DeWitt County as well as many others in southern Texas. I am always willing to share this data and my sources with others.

Lillie Augusta Schwab Parks
Hi Diana,

Lillie August Schawb Steen Parks was my great grandmother. She had many more children (13 if my memory serves me correctly) than are listed here. My grandmother was Agnes Hyacinth Steen Head. I'm happy to provide you with more information if you're interested.
