My family research started in 1980.

In August 2007, I founded the Angel Babies Memorial Project. The mission of this project is to discover and record the gravesites of infants and children who died in New York City and other states between 1798 - 1948 and link them genealogically to their families.
Every memorial serves as a tribute to a youngster who died much too soon. They all deserve to be remembered and honored, and given a sense of dignity and love in death that may have been denied to them in life. By doing so, they will not be forgotten.

RE: James McKendrick
You're welcome. I always find it a bid sad when there is no stone, though.

Minnie Honigstock, Washington cemetery, NYC
Thanks for your note on my wall. I just called the cemetery as you requested, I got Minnie Honigstock's burial location information, and I updated the memorial web page -- but it will take 24-48 hours to show up online. Thanks!

RE: Crystal River African American Cemetery
i would not know who or what the oldest date would be in this cemetery. as one is completely hidden. and several have no names and dates. just a concrete slab over the grave. i am told that there is really no way to find out who is burred there. you may know or you may know someone who does. these graves are placed at a slant. this was done for religious reasons. something to have to do with the rising and setting of the sun and the resurrection. this site contains only 2 that i know of slave graves. im told that more were burred there. more than likely unmarked. this cemetery is in need of cleaning of the graves and removal of dead fall. as well as continued cleaning. i can say of the 50 or so sites that i have visited over the last 6 years of this project. this is the worst.
