RE: Robert N Entwhistle
I have two photos of Robert's daughter, Edith, but don't know her married name or if she was interred in the Union Cemetery. The only information I have is that she married a Methodist minister. In my shop on Etsy I have most of the photos posted that were in Nellie Pinney's album. Some are unidentified; however, if you have access to Humboldt photos you may be able to determine who they are.

RE: Combs
Ok, photo added. I also added photos for other Humboldt Iowa citizens, mostly from the McKitrick and Pinney families. Do you have a Humboldt connection?

RE: Mary Latchaw
You're welcome. It was a COLD morning for being out in the wind, but I'm glad I was able to find the headstone. I'm sorry there wasn't any more information on the stone. It appears she was buried with her husband, but the information was never put on the stone.

RE: James King
King was an officer in a Louisiana colored infantry company, the standard at the time was black troops were lead by white officers. Probably the reason King was bushwhacked and killed in the South. Interestingly the black man charged with his murder was exonerated although he had fought for the Confederacy with a Texas Unit. This same black man became famous later as he was to lead "Teddy" Roosevelt on the ill fated bear hunt which created both the "Teddy Bear" and made Roosevelt a household name.
