Bio Photo Born in Montana in the mid 1940s, I was raised in Duluth, Minnesota, and live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. See the link to the Rhode Family Tree below. It has additional information on most of my memorials on Find A Grave.

As Voltaire said, "the perfect is the enemy of the good." I believe it is better to post the information one has now, rather than wait for perfection. If you have corrections to the memorials I have posted, please let me know.

RE: Lucinda Briggs Overacker
I have the scan of the index card for Henry.

I have Ancestry, so I can see the 1945 SAR application, but DAR does not accept SAR applications as documentation.

I think I need to either find the probate papers for their parents and hope that Simeon and Henry are mentioned, although Henry died before his mother died, but he died after his father died, so hopefully his father's probate records might name living children.

If I could find someone with a copy of Simeon's Civil War pension, I "think" Henry is mentioned in Simeon's pension.

I am trying to find someone with Simeon's pension record at this point. If I could find that, I think I would be lucky.

RE: Lucinda Briggs Overacker
Do you know anyone who might have a copy of Simeon Overacker's Civil War pension? I think his brother, Henry, is mentioned in Simeon's pension.

Thank you,

Lucinda Briggs Overacker

Your photo of Lucinda Briggs Overacker that you posted (buried Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan) by any chance, do you have anything that proves that Henry was her child?

I am trying to help a lady join DAR through this line. I can prove her whole line, except cannot prove that Henry was a son of Lucy and Michael, as Henry died in the Civil War.

I know that his brother, Simeon was also in the Civil War. I have not seen Simeon's CW pension. I believe there "might" be something in Simeon's pension that names his brother, Henry.

Thank you for anything you can do to help me.

Along wit the photos for Belle Ireland you will see that I have also added a couple of photos to the Memorial Page for her husband, Cecil Ireland.
Thanks for the request. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

We try our best, the most difficult stones are the marble ones, they tend to glare in the sun and pick up photographers reflections. Sorry

Crosley Heaton
In the recent transcription of Greenwood, Crosley and Sarah Parker are no longer listed. The local historian at the library still had an older transcript which gave their cemetery location as D/7. This means that their stone is no longer visible or is illegible. The early transcript also listed a Milley E. who died July 1889 aged 18 mos.I took a photo of the row where they are buried which I will post on their memorial with a location if that's ok.
