My name is Sonya A. Bayles, I was born in Bastrop, La on May 5, 1947. My parents were Ochoa Bayles and Mary Alice Day Bayles. My father was born in La, and my mother in Miami Florida. We moved to Miami when I was 6 years old and I pretty much grew up in Florida. Dad moved around quite a bit and I married a local guy from Gainesville, Ga. who it seems moved around a lot also, so for years I moved a lot. I have 2 sisters, Frances Mae and Amanda Lynn, and 2 brothers Vincent Ochoa and Mark Levi. I belong to The Chruch Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and have a great love for family history work, I spend many hours gathering srories, pictures and history of my family. I have 3 sons Enoch Shane Smith, Brannon Levi and Gerald Floyd.
I work in the medical field and also teach classes in CPR & First Aid for the American Red cross in my spare time. Thru the years I have worked at a lot of different things and it took along time for me to find my nitch in life.

I am now retired due to ill health. I spend my time doing phone and email support for newFamilySearch and am really learn a lot more about research and it is a joy to me. I also have more time now to spend time adding memorials to findagrave and also to take more pictures in cemetery.

I enjoy doing family history , working in the garden and long walks on the beach. I enjoy time with my family.
