I can't believe they're gone either. Jimmy was married to my sister Lou, I believe in 1953 right around Thanksgiving, so if they had lived they would be celebrating their 59th wedding anniversary around this time.
I knew Jimmy very well, especially after I moved to northern Virginia in 1986. Jimmy and Lou lived in Martinsburg, WV, which was only a couple of hours away. We saw each other often, especially on holidays. Thanksgiving was always their favorite, so I've been thinking of them a lot recently. | | |
