My name is Melissa or Missy to my friends and family. I live in central Michigan and got my interest in genealogy from my grandmother. She is gone now and I miss her every day but I know that her spirit is with me in every step of my search.|
I enjoy walking the cemeteries close to me and photographing the headstones to capture the information and history that so many like me are searching for. I often try to fulfill photo requests at some of my favorite cemeteries and occasionally stumble on some of my own relatives in doing so. Feel free to use any of the photos I have taken for your own personal use or family genealogy records. That is my purpose in taking the photo of your family members stone.....to provide it for you.
Some of the paternal surnames in my family are:
Leiter, Doyle, Lee, Losey, Holsted, and Parmalee
Some of the maternal surnames in my family are:
Ward, Ash, Schlafley, Hager, Martin and Blundy
Please feel free to contact me through Find A Grave or email if you wish to share information, history, or even a story. Let me know if any of my information is incorrect or needs to be edited. I do make mistakes :) I will be happy to make changes or add additional information. I do work full time and may not get back to you right away but I do try to check my emails often.
Also, I have no issues with transferring memorials I have created. Please don't hesitate to ask to take over management of one of your relatives. I am not creating memorials to add to my numbers. If I grab a photo and there is no memorial for this person, I will create one for them. So, some of my memorials are not my relatives.
Best of luck to all of my fellow Find A Grave'ers!

You submitted a tombstone picture for Lawrence Delong in Sherman City Cemetery memorial # 19414386. The stone that is upright with died 1923 is not the correct stone for this memorial. The one flat on the ground is the correct one. Can you please remove the upright one?

My Uncle's wife, June Garrett just passed away and you had photographed their headstone 2 years ago. Do you have that photo still or can I copy it and put it on her memorial page and give you the credit in the caption?

Thanks! I am in process of trying to get the correct links added :o)

It was great to learn that your family actually knew my great-grandparents. Now I remember that we had a nice painting of a winter scene and I'll bet it was Jenny who painted it. Neat. Unfortunately, they were long gone before I was born.
I found the death record for Walter P Boucher (1965, Riverside California), but I haven't found anything on find a grave yet, so you can't add a link. I thought it might be possible to just add text, but maybe that's not allowed?
I'll keep searching and let you know if I ever find his grave.
