Bio Photo I believe one of the worst things that can happen to anyone is to die and not be remembered for contributions made and sacrificial service rendered to enrich the lives of others.

Being a contributor to Find A Grave enables me to PROPerly Salute those who've directly and indirectly touched my life, and the lives of others. Also, it helps my family (and hopefully other families) easily obtain genealogical data on departed kin.

Your profile message was short, sweet and to the point. It was such a beautiful powerful message that I myself feel almost each and every time I visit this site.

I wanted to send you a quick message asking permission to copy the photo you took of Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. I'd like to add it to my ancestry family tree.

Also may I copy any photos/info you have on this site? I like to add photos about the persons life or in this case death.

Thanks so much. I will, of course, give you credit if you'd like. Please let me know if you'd like me to add the credit. Thanks for all the work you've done. So many of you have served others so well.

Thanks,
Susie

Al Freeman, Jr.
I checked Wikipedia (although not always accurate) and the majority of the news articles about his death put him at 78 years old which would be 1934 as his birth year. I'm sure the birth records are the most accurate, however I'm going to leave the year as it is out of respect for Mr. Freeman. Perhaps it was his wish.

Regards,

Louis

RE: Alma B. Androzzo?
Greetings Deleon,

Sorry that it took me a "minute" to reply, but hopefully I have enough information to get you started. Alma was a black pianist, songwriter and lyricist who composed the infamous "If I Can Help Somebody", a song written for the National Tuberculosis Society. According to the 1940 Census, Alma Bazel Androzzo was 27 and married to Andre Androzzo. I also found a possible birth and death match: October 17, 1912 (Tennessee) - October 11, 2001. Another possible record (Chicago marriage license) indicates that Alma Thompson was married to a Royal Thompson in 1957. I also saw a document which indicated Alma Bazel Androzzo's residences were Harriman Tennessee, Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Chicago Illinois. I wish I had the time to do more research, but hopefully you can carry the baton from here, check out these references and cross the finish line with an overdue, yet well deserved, memorial for her. Please keep me posted!

Blessings to you!

Thank you for leaving the information on Mr. Ashford. Though I cannot attend, I'm sure I will be able to find the service either online, or on Television somewhere. Thank you again...
