Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always had an interest in family history & genealogy. Several years ago I actively engaged in discovering my "roots", and joined Find A Grave in 2011 as part of my discovery process. I have benefited from the labors of others and decided to pay it forward by becoming a contributor to the Find A Grave website with a desire to help others locate the final resting places of their ancestors.

I am happy to transfer a memorial per Find A Grave Guidelines, or make any corrections or updates to a specific memorial as needed. Please send your request(s) using the EDIT button on the respective memorial.

I spend many hours tracking info, obits, family connections, etc., when I post a memorial for someone and try not to post a memorial with just a date of birth and a date of death. I take a personal interest in each memorial and endeavor to treat that person as if they were my "family". It is never my intention to offend anyone and I do my best to never duplicate a memorial. Please accept my contribution to Find A Grave as it is intended; to "Preserving The Past" with a sincere heart toward the legacy and memory of a person or their family.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE: I am the "Grammy" of three precious grandchildren. My daughter and three little grandchildren are my "cemetery search" assistants. They love going with me to locate grave markers. My daughter and six year old grandson, who loves photography, assist me by helping to take the photo's and my other grandchildren tag along for the "adventure". It is great seeing the interest they are showing in the effort to help others find their ancestors.

**My oldest daughter, Amanda, went to her heavenly home on October 24, 2006. She was a new bride of only three weeks and three days, (home one week from her honeymoon) when she lost her life in a car accident. Please take a moment and visit her memorial page; ~ AMANDA RENEE ~ Thank you and God Bless You and Yours!

"Because we know the Lord Jesus, death is not the end. It is merely as if I went to sleep in the adjacent room.

I go on being me, and you go on being you, and we go on being the same to one another.

Talk to me as you once did, speaking as you did before.

Go on smiling as if I were still here. Think of me, pray for me and ensure my name is always spoken in a natural manner, without shadows surrounding it.

Death is a part of life and I still go on in your heart, even when you do not see me, I will always be by your side.

Until we meet again ~ life must go on and all will be well."

RE: Re: Martha Hines Turns
After the original was deleted, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't forgotten. I've had that same contributor delete a few memorials that had my photos on them. I asked him/her about that and they just stated that they prefer to have other contributors make their own, once they have no control over what's entered on the memorial, so they'd rather delete instead of transfer. This was the first time that they alerted me on the photo, so I'm glad they sent me the message so I could go for a retake.
I'm glad that you're happy with the transfer and I'm happy to have helped out. You're Welcome!

You are correct about the poor records, however I did check every headstone in the cemetery and was unable to locate them. Also in years past it was a habit in these cemeteries of the Family removing the headstone for fear that it would be destroyed... This cemetery was at one time a part if Ft Knox. Wben the Army purchased the land in the 40s people were afraid they would never be allowed to see their loved ones again so they removed the headstones. Eventually this land was given back to the public but by then the stone probably would have diappeared. I believe your records checking is but there are no headstones... Sorry...

I think I saw on a post that you are related to the Kissingers. I am also from the Kissinger family, my great grandfather was Melville Oscar Kissinger son of William M. Kissinger and Sarah Jane Frigate. I just wanted to say hi and hope all is well with your family.

Hi...after receiving your suggestion I decided to recheck some info...I went ahead and deleted the link but here is the info leading to it on Familysearch using the Census record...instead of adding the entire record here I'm sending you this link to the page:

This census record has David married to a Nancy not Malinda or Mary lol so I'll dig a little further...thanks for the heads up

RE: John Harlan Waymire
You did excellent work on the memorial. Glad you confirmed that Malinda was buried with David. I hadn't been able to confirm that so you did a triple-good job in helping with this. That has both parents connected and but their first-born child linked together (Elizabeth, born C1843).

I also had sent a request to have the John E. removed from David and Malinda. Hopefully, that link will disappear soon and they will find the correct parents to link him to. He deserves it!

Hope all is well around and about you and God Bless your continued life and work.
