I'm doing my best to connect family links (parents and children) to my kin (direct and collateral) and really appreciate all who have kindly added the connections for me. I'm glad to add yours also. |
Check out http://www.graveaddiction.com/symbol.html if you're interested in the symbols found on gravestones. Neat informative site. Are you a taphophile or tombstone tourist? I am.

I am the granddaughter of Mary Alice Hardesty (Costello) I have my Great Grandmother's bible listing Wilford as her husband/daughters father. I have been unable to find any marriage records or Nanny's (Mary Alice) Birth Records. I am thankful for the information on the wedding dates. Do you know where they were married? (I am assuming Laurel or Calvert County, I was actually born in Prince Frederick County)
|Freida Karen||RE: Stuart Swain Brown|
My mistake. It was right there, I guess I just overlooked it. Thank you!!
|William Seabrook||RE: L. Tinges|
I used the references given such as "old plot 5" and names on nearby graves. There are many graves with these same family names so that's not much help. I didn't find any grave for his wife either, so they are apparently unmarked.

You're quite welcome. You should also change the cemetery from "Unknown" to Loudon Park Cemetery.
Note that another user, "cbb", who requested photos for some of the Hardesty family, has created memorials for some other members of the family who are buried in the same plot, particularly Dorothy's parents, William and Minnie James, as well as Harvey Jr's wife Edith.

Thank you for your quick reply. This weekend we were passing through and thought we would take a chance to stop by. I will contact the Historical Society before my next visit to the area.

This old cemetery seems to be on private property and the access road is gated. Is there a contact number for gaining access?

Thanks for all the research you have done. I appreciate it greatly. May I have permission to use all or portions of your BIO for my family tree records on FamilySearch and my personal family tree? Thanks again for all that you have done.
|deegraver||RE: Dr Robt Ramsey|
please give me a link to that site.
I would love to read them.
