|Marc G.||Taylor Creed Rutledge entry|
For your entry of Taylor Creed Moore of 1861-1927, who married Emily Wilson of Reynolds County, MO on 12-Apr-1883, he is actually Creed Taylor Rutledge, named after his mother's, Louisa (nee Moore) Rutledge's father, Creed Taylor Moore. Maternal grandparents Creed & Nancy (nee Kiser/Kaiser) Moore actually raised him when both parents, Burgess & Louisa (nee Moore) Rutledge died when he was a child back in Stokes County, NC (where the family was from for generations). After the Civil War Creed Taylor Moore and wife took the family including the orphaned grandson, Creed Taylor Rutledge with them to Reynolds County, Missouri, following his brother William Moore (my great x3 grandfather) to Reynolds who migrated with his family there in 1859. See 1880 Census listing of Creed Taylor Moore with listing of grandson Creed T. Rutledge at age 19, with a listing born in North Carolina at:
Also Creed Taylor Rutledge death certificate states he died in St. Louis, MO. The place of burial was Williamsville, MO:
Creed Taylor Rutledge's great-uncle William Moore of 1812-1903 is buried in Reynolds County, MO while great-uncle Calvin Moore of 1823-1866 is buried in Stokes County, NC, both entered in F-A-G. I have yet to find where his grandparents Creed Taylor & Nancy (nee Kiser/Kaiser) Moore are buried somewhere around Lesterville, in Reynolds County. I have no idea where his parents who died in 1864 & 1867, where they are laid to rest somewhere in Stokes County, NC, probably near King, NC where Calvin Moore's headstone is located. Both great uncles' entries are linked to go back another 3 generations to William Moore who died in 1766 in Amherst County, VA.

|Sarah Furry||Flatwoods Cemetery|
I was just wondering where the Flatwoods Cemetery was located exactly? I have recently been very interested in finding out about the Grells that are supposed to be located there. I am living on a farm on Iron 109, and up in the field on the property are markers for August Sr and Jr, Augusta, and Millie, along with 3 that are not very readable. A few of the dates are just a tiny bit off by a few days, or the same day but next year up/down from the death certificates. Do you think this would be the Flatwoods Cemetery?
