I am one of eleven children, three sons and eight daughters, born to Lewis Brady and Thelma "Burke" Brady. We didn't have money but we had loving parents who took care of us and we always felt safe and loved. We each have many happy memories of our childhood days. Being born into a large family had its advantages. We hardly ever got bored, and if we got into trouble there was always somebody else to blame it on! Our religious training began in early childhood by our parents in a Christian home. We all attended the Church of Christ which was within walking distance of our home. We each still stand strong in the religious beliefs that were instilled in us as children. Two sisters married ministers of the gospel and one brother is a minister who started a missionary work almost thirty years ago in Panama, (Panama Missions.) It is still growing and is nationally known and supported by many churches in the United States. Our family was always very close and thankfully we still are today. We gather often at the old "Home Place" where we grew up with Mama and Daddy, and where the Brady Cemetery is located in Hope Hull, Montgomery County, Alabama.

No person is really gone; those who live no more still echo within our thoughts and words, and what they did has become woven into who we are...


- Just a Note -

When I leave a token on a memorial site, it is placed there especially for that particular loved one and is chosen with care after reading their memorial, and with thoughts of their families who love and miss them in mind. Each one comes from my heart. Thanks to all the wonderful people who have contributed their time and effort to making the Find A Grave site so special. Hi, I noticed you have a lot of flowers on my grand dad's memorial. His name is Frankie Thomas Nix, from Panola Alabama. I was wondering if you did know him personally or if you had just saw his headstone and thought it was a particularly neat image and wanted to comment on it.
