CATHOLIC MOUNT AUBURN - UPDATE 7-14-2015
Adding available newspaper information for cause of death: homicide, accidents and suicide.
2nd edit 1854 - 1920. Completed 4/11/1854 - 12/31/1920 - 21,830 burials.
Comparison completed of Findagrave postings to my spreadsheet. Edits and corrections made.
It appears that many infant children deaths, and some adults, were not recorded by certain cities & towns.
Many burials at Catholic Mount Auburn are misidentified on the City/Town death records as being buried at other cemeteries. All area cemeteries are mentioned. The Mount Auburn Cemetery (noted at Cambridge) is incorrectly noted many times.
1854 - December 31, 1920 Edited using death certificates. Online death records end at 1920. MISSING RECORDS:
Missing June 1, 1882 - December 31, 1884
Jan 1 1910 - June 30, 1911

Thank you very much for taking a picture of the tombstone but I'm hoping to find out if you took notes. When my great-great grandmother died Patrick had the deceased children moved to be buried with their mother in Malden's Holy Cross Cemetery. I found this out when my father was buried in the "Clark" family grave.
The cemetery didn't identify the children but noted that there were several children re-interred with her from Mt Auborn Cemetery.
If you have any information available please send me an email....
The stone is pretty well worn and I can't actually read any of the names. Do you have the info?

Thank you for finding the location of the burial. I'm satisfied now that I know a marker is not there.

Thank you so much for posting this! John Hilton (The Limerick Boy) was my great-great grandfather who was stabbed to death on the Liverpool Wharf in 1857. I had not yet seen this particular article about his funeral, and it's really nice to know that so many people attended. It was thoughtful of you to post it.
Thanks very much again and best regards,

Bill, Thank you so much for taking the time to take a photo of my 2xGreat Grandfather Hugh Devine. We are a military family and aren't able to come home and visit as often as we'd like. Thanks for being a photo volunteer...what you do, makes a difference!
