I love history and I love Find A Grave. I feel preserving cemetery records helps majorly in family research. I have been doing family research since 2008 and I love it. I always love to learn more. Here is a list of some of the surnames I am researching: Skaronea, Leonard, Keating, Belcher, Vittorio, Bilski, Cross, Frauenholz, Seirer, and Spong. These are only some of the names I am researching. Note about Calvary Cemetery records: I got a book of records from the 1980s from the LaSalle County Genealogy Guild. I have the records but no pictures.
Cemeteries I have fully documented: 1. Daggitt Cemetery - Highland Park, IL 2. Boothill Cemetery - Tombstone, AZ 3. Druce Cemetery - Third Lake, IL
Cemeteries I have partial records for: 1. Ascension Cemetery - Libertyville, IL 2. Fort Sheridan Cemetery - Fort Sheridan, IL 3. Ivanhoe Cemetery - Mundelein, IL 4. Lake Forest Cemetery - Lake Forest, IL 5. Lakeside Cemetery - Libertyville, IL 6. St. Mary's Cemetery - Lake Forest, IL 7. St. Patrick's Cemetery - Lake Forest, IL 8. Vernon Township Cemetery - Lincolnshire, IL 9. Sunland Memorial Park - Sun City, AZ 10. Mount Rest Cemetery - Rosecrans, IL 11. Transfiguration Cemetery - Wauconda, IL 12. North Northfield Cemetery - Northbrook, IL 13. Northfield Union Cemetery - Northbrook, IL
I am willing to go to any cemeteries in Lake County, IL and cemeteries in northern Cook County, IL.
Leonard G. Rose Thank you for the tombstone photo of Leonard G. Rose in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lake Forest, Illinois. I've been looking for something, anything to do with him for his parents separated when he was child and his father took him away and his mother moved back to Canada.
Willison in Lakeside Cem. Libertyville Hi Killian, In the records you have for Lakeside Cem. in Libertyville do you see a burial for Miles (spelling on stone is Milles) Willison, died 1911? I created a memorial for him and uploaded a photo of his gravestone but I have not been able to find a death record. Thank you for your time. -Judi
Using flour on headstones Hi, You entered a photo for Philip A. Druce in Druce Cemetery with something white all over half of the stone. It's #637494476. Please take a photo first to post. Here's Find A Grave's FAQ's answer... Never apply bleach, ammonia, shaving cream, chalk, flour, baking soda, cornstarch, firm pressure or use anything abrasive. Do not post photos of recently chalked or shaving-creamed headstones. Thanks, Kathy
Calvary Cemetery Thank you for all your work on the Calvary Cemetery. I have photographed all the headstones in that cemetery and am in the process of submitting them all; it is a labor of love, but I feel as strongly as you do about preserving the history and honoring those laid to rest there. I live near this cemetery and have family there. If you need me for anything let me know. I may have some questions for you, if you have the time?
Mary Graff in Calvary Cemetery, Ottawa Hello -- thanks for adding all these records....I would like to request a transfer of Mary Graff (Memorial# 65275223) to me. She was my great grandmother. Thanks very much!
