Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching family genealogy for many years and also upload local cemetery registers for the cemeteries in our county.

I have no familial connection to most of the people I upload, so feel free to request transfers of your relatives. I only ask that you let me know how you're related to a family. Or if you have a decent reason, I'm good with that, too. If you'll take good care of a memorial, I have no problem transferring if you're not related.

While I have many memorials, I am not a numbers person. I would rather have family members maintain memorials.

I make updates very quickly, and usually do not reply back unless I have a question. I frequently will use the email provided in the edit to respond to a question. If your correction has not been made, please check to see if I've emailed, as I normally don't make the updates if I do not have the question answered.

**Please use the Edit feature on memorials over requesting changes in messages or sending emails. That really is the easiest and most efficient way to accomplish updates. Thanks!**

****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain memorials, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and are willing to take over management of the memorials. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates.

Right now, you can email info@findagrave.com if you have someone who has accepted stewardship over the memorials you added. Please send in their member number with your email. Feel free to contact me should you wish that someone maintain the memorials you have created. Thanks!*****

Death is only an old door
Set in a garden wall
On gentle hinges it gives, at dusk
When the thrushes call
Along the lintel are green leaves
Beyond the light lies still;
Very willing and weary feet
Go over that sill
There is nothing to trouble any heart;
Nothing to hurt at all.
Death is only a quiet door.
In an old wall.

RE: Jepson/Jepsen in WI
Jonelle, my point is which spelling is correct? I think the name should match what is on the stone unless it can be shown that was a mistake on the stone. If someone is looking for Jepsen and it is under Jepson, they won't find it either. I have submitted requests to change the spelling to what is on the stones.

Jepson/Jepsen in WI
Concerning your comments about me duplicating entries for some Jepsons and using surname Jepsen. If you notice the headstones say Jepsen. Several of the obits say Jepsen. I believe the name on the bio should be what is shown on the stone unless there is some evidence it is misspelled. There appears to be some changes in spelling for various family members. That is why I did what I did. I will again try to get the contributor to change the spelling to go with the stone.

RE: Peterson's
Jonelle,

Thanks, I got that too from the 1880 census. Those are the correct names.

RE: Boletta Peterson Memorial
Jonelle,

Thanks for your help. That makes sense to get Lottie from Boletta.
I'm using Ancestry.com for my search. I have so little on Bell, Boletta can't be sure about if this is indeed her place of burial. Do know for sure husband's name was James (Jens) and her son's name was Ralph, my grandfather.

Dear Jonelle,

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is a descendant of the progenitor, George Cheadle. My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am NOT requesting transfer of any memorials. I consider it a common courtesy to respectfully request permission to download gravestone photos which pertain to our line as well as information from obituaries, etc., regardless of copyrights. I normally give credit as "Courtesy, Jonelle (unless you provide and permit use of your full name, contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?". For those who do not wish credit, I use "Courtesy of Find A Grave contributor who wishes to remain anonymous" which lets people know I am not plagiarizing other peoples' research without their knowledge. I would prefer to have a written response but if I do not hear from you by July 20, I will presume I have your permission and will use the credit as above.

My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I'm 85) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady. In many cases (such as this one) I don't even have an idea where the person is buried!
