Genealogy is my avocation. Grateful for the many I can find, and so curious about the ones I can't. Mostly VT, MA, CT, RI, NH and NY, but a few are in Canada, somewhere out west, and in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. There is always another stone unturned.|
While many of these are my own relatives, i am also uploading collaterals, and unrelateds. I would be happy to transfer these to you. Feel free to ask.

You're welcome Carolyn

Hi! Yes, I would love to know too. If she is buried with the rest of her family in Lakeside Cemetery, Holly, Michigan, she does not have a headstone. I have tried contacting the sexton there & get no response. I think it's going to take some on-site research. Good hearing from you!

Thank you for your kind offer to help. I will certainly contact you if I need a picture taken. Many of my ancestors are buried in the Wells River area.

Sure no problem. I was glad to help.
It took a while for me and my husband to find it as well. To me it looks like the headstone reads:
I memory of Asa Abel who died Nov 26 1831 in the 67th year of his life.
If I remember correctly, if you are facing the cemetery the headstone is located toward the back of the cemetery in the middle of one of the back rows, slightly off to the left. (I think.)

No I don't have that one. Does the VT Cemetery Association participate in a program to at least shore up or redo some of these markers? It would almost seem as though (off season) there might be masons who could help with that at a lower cost.
My darling husband passed away 11/19/2013 and he will be buried in my family plot in Williamstown MA in late June

I am going to search a little more about this. I did most of these from records I got from the Shaftsbury Town Clerk (Grandview Cemetery Index of Burials). I entered them and then went to find them in the cemetery. Many I found but some I did not, this is one I didn't find. After I do some more searching I will either delete it and send the info to the other memorial or one of them is a centotaph which I have found many of. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

He is a direct ancestor of my husband's first cousin's husband. His mother was a Covey.

you are most welcome, glad the info was of interest to you. I inserted the "?" because it was unusual to see same last name...thanks for clearing up - I was curious :)
