Gone But Not Forgotten....
**PLEASE DO NOT COPY ANY OF MY FAMILY PHOTOS THAT I HAVE PERSONALLY POSTED ON MY MEMORIALS WITHOUT OBTAINING MY PERMISSION FIRST. THANKS VERY MUCH!**
ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF A FIND A GRAVE MEMORIAL, PLEASE INCLUDE THE CONTRIBUTOR'S NAME! I have seen so many posted on ancestry.com with the contributor left off & "courtesy of findagrave". Remember findagrave did not do the research, the contributor did, please give them credit!!
From "How Green Was My Valley" by Richard Llewellyn:
" I saw behind me those who had gone, and before me those who are to come, I looked back and saw my father, and his father, and all our fathers, and in front to see my son, and his son, and the sons upon sons beyond. And their eyes were my eyes. As I felt, so they had felt, and were to feel, as then, so now, as tomorrow and forever. Then I was not afraid, for I was in a long line that had no beginning and no end, and the hand of his father grasped my father's hand and his hand was in mine, and my unborn son took my right hand, and all, up and down the line that stretched from Time That Was to Time That Is, and is Not Yet, raised their hands to show the link, and we found that we were one, born of Woman, Son of Man, made in the Image, fashioned in the Womb by the Will of God, the Eternal Father."
A little about me...

I have always enjoyed oral history at an early age. Wish I had asked more questions now... In 1994 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer, went through surgery and chemo, I was given 3-6 years to live. So after I recovered from the treatments, in 1996 I decided to sell my home of 20 years and go on the road to research my family 1st-hand that were in my family files. I became a "fulltimeRVer" for six years; following the paths of my ancestors was a memorable experience and very humbling at times. I visited so many places I would never have visited otherwise... courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, meeting family and getting to actually stand on family land that my ancestors owned. Well, I am still here, I guess I still have ancestors to find and their stories to tell..... the oral history is out there, I just have to find the descendant that it was passed down to..
In addition to my family lines, I research Barren, Hart, Metcalfe and Warren Counties in KY.

Judy was nice enough to transfer Andrew's memorial over to me, so it worked out OK. Best regards - Bill C.
|Bill Cheatham||New Liberty|
It was easier to just delete my memorial and update the other one (which I've already requested). It's hard to trust what obituaries say, which in this case said the cemetery was in Barren Co. Ky.! Take care, Bill

I have deleted my memorial and requested Find A Grave to delete the cemetery. Thank you for pointing this out.

I thought you might want to add a note in this memorial. She has 2 daughters by her first husband, William Joshua Black, Find A Grave Memorial# 132569941. I can not find the girls on find a grave. . .yet. But I will keep looking. They are listed in her husband's (at time of death)obit. And I have them in census of 1920 with Josh and Maude.

Thank you on Burgess information, I wonder if you are able to find any information on Hugh Norvell dates are 1767 to 1848 concerning his wife Susannah 1771 to 1846 they are my 4th great grand parents and are buried in Lyons Cemetery on Lyons Rd Barren Co Ky. People think Susannah maidens name is Bush but I can not find documentation to that. I do know that Bush family is around Barren Co Ky.
Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
