I live in Marshall Co. AL, and have for some 59 years. Like most people on find a grave I love genealogy. I have been using this site for some time in finding my family. Someone asked me if I had ever thought about helping find a grave with taking pictures. I challenge you to join in this group of people. Find an old cemetery, and start taking pictures. These old stones are not going to hold up to nature.|
My family list includes: Birdsong, Brumbeloe, Cobb, Cornelius, Culpepper, Davis, Dobbins, Edmonson, Garrett, Gilbreath, Gorham, Jordan, Larmore, Martin, Pruitt, Roden, and Sims.
You need to claim a photo request before you take a picture. This way no one else goes out of their way to take the picture and the photo request will be fulfilled. Please do not post a picture on a memorial that has been claimed by someone else. The photo request will not go away when you do this, and you do not get credit for the pictures.
I have chalked stones in the past, but due to rules brought to my attention I will not be able to chalk stones any more. Please see: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?searchArg=chalk&page=listFaqs#96
Fill free to send any edits you may need by using the edit button. I will be glad to transfer any memorial I have opened unless they are my family. Any picture I have taken you can copy, I just ask that you give find a grave the credit. This is a wonderful site for genealogy study.

You are so very welcome! I was more than happy to help!
|Johnny L. Williams||RE: William Hubbard at Howelton Cemetery|
There is a William H. "Willie" Hubbard Find A Grave Memorial# 113005631, but I don't believe he is burried in the Howelton Cemetery, I did not find any marker for him and there are only a few unmarked graves.
How kind of you to spend so much time in Altoona Cemetery looking for my cousins. I know it is huge. I will get to the new photos you took later tonight but needed to thank you for all you did in Altoona as well as Walnut Grove. Not sure why the SCOTTs were not there but I will look at my records again and make sure I didn't make a mistake. You have helped me sooooo very much. I truly appreciate your kindness.

Thanks for the edit for Agnes! I cannot figure out why I put Ricketts!
You are right, the cemetery is in really bad shape and unfortunately so many stones are gone! I am not familiar with any of those interred in this cemetery. Nala

|Reggie Hughes||RE: camp family|
Nancy good to hear from you. I try and walk to the Rock Springs Cemetery every day and look around. Somebody has been sniffing freon here and High Point Church and other homes, destroying the HVAC Units over night.
It took me a bit, but looks like he is my Great Aunt Edna Hughes, husbands 4th cousin. Whew, that's a long way off.
I had to research him all the way up to Thomas Camp 1717 Halifax, Va, where he was a brother to Thomas Camps son Thomas Camp Jr.
As for the Find A Grave entry, it doesn't matter. You did all the foot work, so should get the credit for it.
|Jeff LaFarlett||RE: Jan Elliott|
My cousin Jan LaFarlett Elliott was cremated and her ashes were spread on her parents graves (Ed and Linda LaFarlett)
I hope you are doing well, and this will help you.
Yes, you may use any pictures that I leave. I tried to look for the other Brumbelows that were requested but couldn't find them. I did find others and took a pictures of them if you want them.
|Terry Mathis||Thelma Brumbelow|
My grandmother, Edna G. Scoggins Godfrey is buried at Flint Hill Cemetery so I went there the other day and found your Thelma Brumbelow and Took a picture of her grave for you and posted it today. It's the first picture that I've posted on findagrave so I hope it turned out ok.

|Alana Morgan||RE: Benjamin Graham|
I am not connected to the Graham family. I was helping Eddie Gorham do some research.
My Martins, Morgans, and Cokers came to Alabama during the early 1830's and settled in Calhoun, Cherokee, Etowah, and DeKalb counties.
My 2 great grandfather Charles Martin had a brother that supposedly went to DeKalb county, but I have never been able to figure out who he was (or their parents). That has been a brick wall that I have been banging my head on for years.
|melanie||Re: Dobbins @ Concord Baptist in Rutherford Co., NC|
Sorry that his headstone will not be helpful in determining how D. Miller Dobbins's first name is spelled. Also, Howard Wayne Dobbins's name is given as Wain on his shared marker with his sister Ruby, and his birth date is given as May, 28, 1921.
While at Concord, I also photographed the following Dobbins that were in the surrounding area if you wanted any of those:
Clara Dobbins 1886-1966
Ruby Dobbins 1923-1924
George Dobbins 1878-1959
Myrtle May Dobbins 1903-1904
George Henry Dobbins 1895-1897
Alpha Dobbins 1847-1917
James Dobbins 1847-1917
