Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a Middle Tennessean happy to keep an eye out for relatives of others while pursuing my favorite hobby, searching for interesting grave shelters in small, rural cemeteries. Gravehouses, shelters, tents, rock tombs and cairns--they're all vanishing quickly, so will take them where I can find them, and appreciate your suggestions. The motherlode of rock tents/combs, the Cumberland Plateau, is my favorite stomping ground.

Thanks to all of you who have added photos to my memorials! I'm willing to fill photo requests in out-of-the-way places, as long as you're not in a hurry. If corrections are needed to memorials I've added, or if you would like additional information, please leave a message here or send email to my address.

You are welcome to use my photos for non-commercial purposes without obtaining my prior permission, as long as their use is within the rules and guidelines of, and provided the ownership source is clearly stated each time.

I am not directly related to many people for whom I've created memorials, so please feel free to ask for a transfer. If I've made a mistake on a memorial, and you can shed light on the subject, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Am always on the lookout for Berry (Hulme, Wiltshire, Vowell, Malone, Jefferson), Carothers (Turner, Potts, Nevins, Jordan, Whitsitt), Wilkerson (King, Barnes, Dowdy, Goodwin, Buchanan) and Rucker (all of the above, and everyone else in TN, KY, and VA).

It's a delight to be part of the awesome assembly that is Find A Grave!

Thomas J. Carothers
I am doing research on Thomas Jefferson Carothers, who lived in Franklin, TN and was with the 20th TN Inf., Co H as a Captain. Mr. Carothers bought the Albert Lotz family home in Jan. 1870. I am looking for others who may be related to the T. J. and Josephine McEwen Carothers family.

Thanks so very much for the photos of the Tune couple at Mt. Olivet! It's so nice to have volunteers all over the states who give of their time.

I appreciate it,

RE: Evelyn Sutherland Stevenson
Than you, again!!
Have you ever found a grave for their son, Alexander Brock Stevenson, Sr? He died 27 May 1969 in Nashville. My grandmother, Evelyn's sister, and my dad lived with them for a while in the '20's.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Bell on the phone recently. He was quite nice and fascinating to listen to.

I noticed your interest in Gravehouses and my family cemetery in Rutherford County Tennessee is supposed to have some on it. I have yet to visit myself and am looking to contact the owner of the land soon to hopefully gain access and get pictures.

Wasn't sure if you may have heard anything about them.

RE: Ruckers in Williamson County
How are you kin to the Ruckers? My great great grandmother was Rachel Minerva Rucker Wasson. I was filling in some if the side lines I have researched trying to find my lines between Mordecai and the immigrant Peter.

Hi Harriet - re: Thanks for sponsoring the memorial, Jo Anne! I added it because John Waggoner had made those lovely photos, and not because of any family connection or research. If you would like for me to transfer it to your care, I'll be happy to do so. If not, let me know if there is additional information you'd like to see included.

I would be happy to take over management of the memorial, I believe John Phillips is in my direct line from my Lydia Phillips Hankins (my gr grandfather's mother), if you're willing to transfer to me. Thanks for all your help. I'm trying to link the family back together though I do have some holes and missing links. I really appreciate your help. Thank you!!!
