Gone But Not Forgotten....
**PLEASE DO NOT COPY ANY OF MY FAMILY PHOTOS THAT I HAVE PERSONALLY POSTED ON MY MEMORIALS WITHOUT OBTAINING MY PERMISSION FIRST. THANKS VERY MUCH!**
ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF A FIND A GRAVE MEMORIAL, PLEASE INCLUDE THE CONTRIBUTOR'S NAME! I have seen so many posted on ancestry.com with the contributor left off & "courtesy of findagrave". Remember findagrave did not do the research, the contributor did, please give them credit!!
A little about me...
Glasgow High School graduate
Western Kentucky University:
Bachelor of Arts Degree
Masters - Folklore
I have always enjoyed oral history at an early age. Wish I had asked more questions now... In 1994 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, went through surgery and chemo, I was given 3-6 years to live. So after I recovered from the treatments, in 1996 I decided to sell my home of 20 years and go on the road to research my family 1st-hand that were in my family files. I became a "fulltimeRVer" for six years; following the paths of my ancestors was a memorable experience and very humbling at times. I visited so many places I would never have visited otherwise... courthouses, libraries, cemeteries, meeting family and getting to actually stand on family land that my ancestors owned. Well, I am still here, I guess I still have ancestors to find and their stories to tell..... the oral history is out there, I just have to find the descendant that it was passed down to..
In addition to my family lines, I research Barren, Butler, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe and Warren Counties in KY. (South Central KY)

Laura, thank you so much for the change of cemetery name for Bernice Byrd. I wasn't aware of the name change Strader Burial Ground to Malone Cemetery. You have been so helpful. Can't thank you enough.

|Lori||Emerson Cemetery #3 - Jesse Emerson's brother?|
Thank you for adding the memorials for this cemetery. We just visited this cemetery, after traveling from Houston, Texas last week to Kentucky. I am about to upload my photos to Find-A-Grave and ancestry.com.
According to my research, my husband is descended from Jesse Emerson and wife Nancy Furlong, Jesse being the half-brother of this Joel E. Emerson buried in Emerson #3 in Barren County, Kentucky. Jesse Emerson and wife's burial places are unknown. But after their deaths their son Samuel Emerson left for Cooke County, Texas, around 1888, and this branch of the family tree has been in Texas ever since.
I am trying to connect with other researchers descended from Jesse Emerson and Nancy Furlong to share info. Thanks again for your Find-A-Grave work in helping in my Jesse Emerson family quest. Lori Domel email@example.com

I took the time to read your bio. I"m thankful you are a fellow cancer survivor. Mine was breast cancer in 2000 -- found early, surgery, 28 radiation treatments, and tamoxifin -- but it keeps me humble.
I'm WKU grad '81, '83 (BA in History, MA in History).
If I can help you with quick questions for the Kentucky Building, firstname.lastname@example.org or 270-745-3246.
Looking forward to learning more together.

|Shoshana||Your dedication to accuracy|
I just want to express a few words, simple but most sincere. Thank you for using your time to turn memorials from fiction to history. There are tines when I find incorrect copy-paste on wrong decedent. There are times cemeteries are entered under multiple names.
You and contributor "chobe" ARE MIRACLE WORKERS..
WITHOUT A NEGATIVE ATTITUDE.
THANK YOU AGAIN.
