I'm working on my life's goal of visiting 1,000 famous graves in my lifetime (and hopefully more)! You can see who I have visited, who I want to visit, the people that I've wanted to visit the most, and the people I want to visit the most in my virtual cemetery list. I am also working on visiting all of the Presidential Libraries. My avatar is Patrick Swayze's star.
If you need/want to email me, please put Find a Grave (or a variation) OR the name of the person's grave you are emailing about. If it is a non-famous person please also include Find a Grave (or a variation) also in the subject line. Otherwise, it will be deleted as Spam. Also, it is better to email me than to leave a message here. I check my email much more often than the Find a Grave page these days. Thanks! | |

 | Cpl James W. Reese Cpl James W. Reese was a soldier of Company F 26th Infantry Regiment 1th Infantry Division, participating in the invasion of Sicily in July 1943 (operation Husky). He was killed on 5 August 1943. He was buried in the temporary American Cemetery GELA in plot-grave E-52-623, date of burial was 9 August 1943.
After the war his remains were repatriated and buried in a cemetery in the United States.
I am writing a book about the temporary cemetery GELA, and also want to include information and/or picture you posted on the website, of course you will be credited. You will be notified when the book will be finished next year.
If you are related, perhaps you may have information/documentation or his picture, any information is more than welcome
Thank you

 | Rodney Dear fellow F.A.G. photo volunteer, thank you so much for your kind reply and explanation. Just yesterday, I had to write a departed's name on a piece of paper and place it with flowers, at the site of the interment, which had no marker. The creator of the memorial on F.A.G. kept bugging me for a picture! I consider myself a liason between the departed's family and Vista Memorial Gardens (where I 'work') I am always diplomatic and polite, and try to accomodate everyone as best I can. Bless you for your explanation. :D | | | Amorifera
 | RODNEY MICHAEL HARVEY Hello, fellow F.A.G. photo volunteer! I just visited this memorial, but the grave marker photo, which was taken by you, does not match his name. Why? | | | Always with Love
 | Bruce Miller Thank you for writing. I've made the corrections to his memorial. Blessings to you. | | | Eileen
 | Gregory Peck I see you are interested in finding many graves. When I saw your note on Loretta King I thought I would tell you that I came upon Gregory Peck in the Cathedral in Los Angeles where Farrah Fasett had her funeral mass. He is in the basement in the wall. It is so pretty and peaceful down there. I was shocked to see it and I checked with someone who worked there and indeed it is the famous G.P. It is in the downtown business section of LA. Happy Visiting.Added by Eileen on Nov 13, 2009 10:31 AM | | | Amy Wolfe
