To know me, you know I'm climbing a (family) tree, but now I'm (grave) diggin'. The past eight years I have learned who they are, now it's time to go visiting. With camera I will be able to share. I LOVE THIS SITE. |
Read in Forums: Why did I wait so long?
I live in South Central Kentucky, right on the Tennessee line. Know as the Walker Line.
I'm proud to say I can trace 200/225 years back on all eight branches in Ky, Tn, Va, & Caroline's. Studying families traveling in what were wagon trails across the ridges and hollors of this area.
I would be glad to help anyone looking for past loved ones. If you see any corrections or would like ownership, please contact me.

I believe you have linked parents to Etta Frances Bandy Jent. These are her parents, but Wiley's year of death is incorrect. (He would have been dead before my grandmother and her brother were born!) He actually died in 1897 rather than 1887.
Can you make that correction?

Thank you for the information on Mr and Mrs Allen. I've transfered their management to you in hopes that, with you being much closer to them in distance than I, you might run across family members or discover a proximal link to your own tree. Best wishes.

Thank you for the info, I have added it.
Do you know if this is the same Susan Mercer, maiden name Susan Judy, who married David Mercer who was born 1812 and died 1880? Susan Judy Mercer was the mother of William Henry 1855-1944. Any help you can give me is appreciated! I have come across one Susan Mercer who is African American and one the is Caucasian. I am looking for the Caucasian Susan. The dates match what I have for birth and death and the location is good. Thanks!!!

Hi, Darla. I understand about email/computer problems; mine has been down all week. I appreciate all the updates and the correction to bandy. I will have to find Etta Bandy's parents names. I believe they were buried on the family farm in the Oak Knob/Spring Creek area of Macon County. Her brother is Herschel Bandy buried in Macon County Memorial Gardens. Their father died in his 20's and there were only the two children. Their mother never re-married.
I am headed out on a week's vacation and will look for those names when I return. We just lost another family member this week - Frances Evelle Jent Massey. She was one of Etta Bandy and Edgar Jent's daughters. Of their 7 children, only one survives and she just turned 100.
I will get back to you soon.
