Thank you very much for the birthdate/location and middle name updates for Mr. Ford. I have updated this information in his memorial.

|Marthann Kohl-Fuhs||pre-need memorials|
It is my understanding that pre-need is acceptable if the person was born BEFORE 1930:
Is it acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living?
Please try to avoid it. In general, we do not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave. Memorials for individuals who are alive will be removed when requested (the exception being for 'famous' individuals who already have a burial location in place). You are always welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself, if you would like, provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery.
|Bill Bates||RE: Forsyth to St. Marys|
Thanks for your good work.
I agree that the alias is a BIG problem -- and it is bogus.
I have asked FindAGrave to please delete the alias, as well as the false statements about St. Mary's on the Forest Cemetery home page.
As the St. Mary's home page states, St. Mary's has been a separate cemetery for 124 years -- and more fiscally sound than Forest, I might add. The city of Oskaloosa just gave Forest Cemetery $50,000 to keep the gates open, and St. Mary's will not see a penny of that money.
All the best, Bill
