|Cathy Anderson||Burgess Ancestors|
I am a Burgess descendant too. William Burgess 1839 to 1904 was the brother to my direct ancestor, James "Robert" Burgess, 1838 to 1904. Both were the sons of King N. Burgess (1803-before 1860) and Martha Bass Burgess (1816 to before 1860). They also had a brother Jessie Burgess (1844 to 1900) whose first wife Mary Martha Eslinger was the sister to William's wife Sarah "Sallie" Eslinger.
You have done a wonderful job documenting the Burgess line of William and Sarah "Sallie" Burgess. I would just like to thank you for all your hard work as I can only imagine all the hours you have spent searching and research.

You have done a wonderful job listing the family names with their information.
I am a cousin to Clarence Roy and was hoping I could use your pictures for my tree.

You are welcome to use my pictures and information if interested.
Thank you, Betty

I am sorry there was a duplicate request for this burial. Can you tell me where I went wrong? I did a search for another burial on this so not sure if there was a duplicate burial. Thanks
I was wondering is Winchester Cemetery in Fayette Co has a list of names buried there but not photographed by findagrave I am looking for a husband and wife by the last name of Smith who died in the 1900's or perhaps in 1890's when death records were destroyed in that Kansas City fire back then.

I would like permission to use your photograph of Grandison Royston Wallace from the Val Verde cemetery in Milam county, Texas. He is my direct ancestor and I'd like to include the picture in my family history blog at blairfamilyhistory.blogspot.com
I would give you credit for the image and the date you posted it on "Find A Grave". I appreciate your wonderful efforts in preserving family history and memories. Thank you for your consideration.
|Kelley McNabb||William Short--Waelder City Cemetery|
Teresa: I finally got to Waelder to take the picture of the surroundings of William's plot. As you can see, it is very close to the front gate of the cemetery, and there is no marker for his wife.
|Kurt Carroll||RE: Arthur Parisher|
Hi Teresa, glad I could help. Feel free to download.
|Kelley McNabb||RE: William and Susan Short|
Yes, Teresa, Waelder's about a 20-minute drive from where I live. Both my daddy's and mother's family are from Waelder, and my grandmothers lived in Waelder most of their lives; I used to spend summers with my grandma on my daddy's side, and I still have family living in Waelder, so I'll be going back.
Thanks for the additional information about where Susan's final resting place is; however, that's also bad news, as I'm sure that there was not a marker for her next to William, and therefore, you're most likely correct when you say that Susan did not have a headstone. What a shame; I'm sorry I wasn't able to get a picture, but I will take an area photograph of William's and post it on his page.
Let me know if there are any others in Waelder that you need photos of...
|Kelley McNabb||RE: William (and Susan Calley) Short|
You're welcome, Teresa, and yes, I did look for a marker for Susan Calley Short; however, I was unable to locate her final resting place anywhere in the cemetery.
I don't know if you can tell from the picture of William Short's marker, but Mr. Short was buried close to the front gates of the cemetery, just outside the curbing of another family's plot (I can't at the moment recall if Mr. Short was another family member of this plot, but I don't believe he was).
I do know that Susan Calley Short's marker (if she does in fact have one) was not near William Short's marker. It could be, however, that one was there and has since been destroyed or damaged, etc.).
I plan to go to Waelder this month, and I will look again and keep looking until either I find her or I'm sure that I've looked at every marker out there.
