You're welcome Bernard! That section of Home of peace is pretty bad, but they keep the majority of the grounds looking pretty good.

No, I don't know Judy. But it looks like she has already taken care of your request for Edwin Rochelle. Very good!

RE: LaChappelle
Hey thanks for looking into this. I took at look at the parents as they originally were linked and knew it was unlikely that the lady listed as his mother was his mother. I am not related but a bit of a genealogy "nut". I was looking around in Hugette Clark's ancestry today as I just finished the book Empty Mansions. This is how I found the LaChappelles. Anyway, thanks for the update and for your Find a Grave work!

Cohn family graves in Oakland
Dear Bernard,
Thank you for explaining that the Jewish Cemetery is next to Mt View - I have never been there. When I first started doing genealogy research, I went to the Jewish Cemeteries in Piedmont and looked at lists in their office. I knew that my patriarch and matriarch who came for the Gold Rush from Posen, German Poland, Prussia, brought no Jewish traditions and didn't belong to a synagogue nor did my grandmother, Belle Jacobs Levy Hyman, growing up in Oakland - her parents were 1st cousins. It was passed down to my Mother that Pauline Solomon Cohn never learned English and spoke Yiddish. She lived with one of her sons and his family after Sam died. Jill
