Author of two books of family history: "North of Deep Fork: An Oklahoma Farm Family in Hard Times," which deals with Lincoln County; and "The Fate of Bones: Adventures in Family History," which follows my family from Virginia in the mid-1600s to Oklahoma at the start of WWII. These and a few volumes of poems are available from Amazon.com. (Put my name in the author-search module.) You can find me on FaceBook. Come by and say hello.
Recently my research is concentrated in eastern Kentucky, especially around Wolfe Co. Names there include Day, Hall, Gilley, Robinson, and Stidham. See my "Stidham and Day Families" tree at Ancestry.
I run a Lincoln County Oklahoma website at http://oakgrove-pleasantridge.blogspot.jp/

Yes sir I would very much like to have a story.

Wayne, I added Stinson To Elva's name. The 1910 Census shows her name as Elva S Stinson. The census shows her as 16 and her twin brother, Alva B Stinson, as twelve. The B in Alva B stands for nothing. I don't know if Elva's S stands for anything. Too funny.
Trina Booth--Alva is part of my family

Dear FriendI wonder if by chance you would have gathered an obit on her husband, Marvin Cooper Orrel (or Orrell), d. Savannah 14 Jan 1988.I've searched for hours on the web and in the databases and can't find him. Yet she gets such a long obit in the Savannah paper.
sorry didn't post her husband. 1988 is close to the cut off for when newspapers started keeping online info.

I do not recall hearing the story. I am going to try to locate the caretaker of the cemetery for a list. There was no name or phone numbers at the cemetery. I will try again in a few weeks. It was hot out there even at 10 a.m. and the stickers were terrible. It took 15 minutes to get them out of my shoe laces before I could get in the car.

You're welcome. I also set up memorials for the Klints who are buried here also. None have markers so I just entered what info I could find from Ancestry.
