Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy and doing genealogical research for over 40 years, especially the Beetem, Sanders, Scott, Skaggs, Shanks, Chapman, Kibler, and Parcel families. While it's always exciting to find new names and dates, my biggest thrills come from discovering stories about my ancestors and learning more about their daily lives.

My family has been mowing and caring for cemeteries for over 30 years. My job is weed-eating around the stones and my husband has always teased me about working so slowly because I am more interested in reading the stones than trimming around them!! I couldn't begin to count the hours we have spent straightening stones and trying to keep fallen stones from disappearing into the overgrowth.

I enjoy photographing cemeteries as a way of preserving the history contained in them.

Julia Ann Gross Ellembaugh
You have a memorial in Baughman Cemetery for Julia Ann. According to Family Search, Julia Ann Partlow whose parents are Isaac and Mary Gross is buried in Baughman Cemetery along with Isaac and Mary. After her first husband died, she must have married a Partlow.

I noticed you have photographed a few headstones in this cemetery. My wife's ancestors are buried there - Cain family. any chance you can get photos of those headstones in the near future?

I live north of Indianapolis

Parentage of William Cox
Thanks for the heads up!

After a little more research, I too found that parentage extremely doubtful. I have deleted the links.

What you're doing is fantastic! Thanks so much. I was in Clark County a few years ago and enjoyed my visit. A beautiful place!

R. Bruce McCall
Hi Debbie!

Thanks for the additional information about Robert Bruce McCall. I was glad to get it! Are you related? I am distantly connected to his wife, Ruth Dare Steward. If you should have any other information about this family, I would be grateful to receive it!

With best wishes,

RE: Beetem Pictures
I was so lucky to be able to get in contact with the "right" person to obtain permission for my husband, 2 other Find A Grave volunteers and myself to get the key so we could go in and take pictures of the entire mausoleum. BTW, we are from Nebraska and the local people couldn't get permission. As it turns out, a lot of the people in the Mausoleum are relatives of my husband. Taking these pictures has made me feel blessed and I knew others would also enjoy seeing them.
