Find A Grave has helped me so much that I have tried to pay it back by adding several hundred non family. If you see any errors please do contact me. Let me know if you want family transferred. If I am not related I most generally transfer.
Death certificates or printed obituaries not appreciated on a memorial. They are seldom 100 per cent correct and Find A Grave does not encourage them. Ancestry is one place to leave them. So please do not put Death Certificates on any of my memorials. We respect the feelings of people who do not wish these to appear on the memorials of family and friends, and we ask that you will please also honor their feelings. Find A Grave memorials are intended to show honor and respect, so this is not the place to publicize these images showing cause of death, etc. It is extremely painful to see one on the memorial page. The creator of F.A.G. has stressed that this is a grave registration site, not a genealogy site. Thanks very much for your understanding and kindness to these people.
Per the Find a Grave guidelines, please do not leave biographical information on a virtual flower. It will be reported and removed. If you have a correction, send an edit.
If you ask me to add or change any information on someone, please make sure you have documentation and not just something you saw someone put on the internet. I often get incorrect change requests.
In a letter from Find A Grave Management they stated "It is up to the originating member what
they include as long as you make sure that the names, birth and death dates/years are included in the fields available on the memorial page"
I work on all my family lines. The ones I work on the hardest seem to be Allenbaugh/Allumbaugh, Barker, Lee, Lyle, Thompson, Rackleff/Rackliff, Symons.
Thank you. Donna A

OK ... are we relatives? I wonder how you came across my fathers grave ... would love to know there's another relative out there !!
Just got back from Brooklyn, and I have a photo of the gravesite. Shall we post it? If yes, how? I'm new to this.
Also, what is a "transfer"? Does that mean you pass it over to my oversight? I would love to have it -- he is my Dad.
Love to hear from you !!
I am not done by a long shot. I was saddened to see a cemetery in such a dire state. I have decided that I want to see if we can do some more tesearch. Perhaps we can even get the military stones replaced as most are broke, missing and illegible. Do you have any info on the cemetery? I have started doing research on each burial and have already located one military veteran whose grave is unmarked

HI Donna, I have two sisters that married into the Alumbaugh family...Jenny Wiggs B.1882 that married Tip Alumbaughand and Shelly b. 1880 in NC (I think she married into Alumbaugh family)...what I'm looking is her brothers that are listed on the 1900 Census Union Township, Jackson county with Charles Wiggs as their father...Charlie Wiggs b. 1884 in NC,
Fletcher Wiggs b. 1894 in Arkansas, and Fitzhue Wiggs b. 1898 in Arkansas...I see that you have Charles Wiggs headstone Burial:
White Church Cemetery
Arkansas, USA listed on find a grave and I was wondering if you had run across anything on the brothers...it seems that they have disappeared!! This Charles Wiggs is my great grandfather's brother from NC that went to Arkansas before 1900.
Thanks for any help, Denise Clark

Hello, Donna! You are very welcome! I had taken a 92 year old friend out to Iowa from Illinois to see her college roommate! We always go to the cemetery, so i thought that I would see who I might be able to help while I was there. I'm glad that I could help!

You are most welcome! It was a bit of a challenge to find that headstone as it's a bit weather-worn.

I love genealogy and was so thrill to get to do this research. Unfortunately those who knew the important things about our family had passed before I got interested and it made it difficult to find a lot of answers. I searched for 14 years for a map of the cemetery so that I could properly put everything in its right place but no one seemed to know where to find one even though the local school would take its students to the cemetery and the teacher would make them map it!!!
Any who, like I said, anything I can help with - I will do!!!
|David Jones||RE: Transfer|
This actually was a cemetery stone but because of age, time and the fact that it was mowed over several times it now only looks like a field stone. I noticed the edges had broken off. I do not know if you could find this now because after we sold the property no one has kept the cemetery up. When we moved to the area and was clearing our property we found the cemetery and cleared it off - finding over 86 graves so I began researching the history of those people and found that a lot of the locals were family but no one had time to keep it up. I tried for 12 years but after we moved it has been taken back over by nature as far as I could tell. Anyway - if you have any other family links that you would like transferred - I will gladly give them to you.

Yes, I'm related to some of the Lees, but I've also done a bit of work with one line that does not appear to be related. What time period and geographic area are you currently researching?

|YEP||RE: Lee family|
Hi, I am directly related to Joseph Lee, Memorial 38837554. I think that the flowers that I've left of late may be related Lees, but I'm uncertain on a few. Are you on Ancestry as well? Which Lee are you needing help with?
