Timothy Birkner
Hello Bernhard!
Hi Bernhard,

It's me Tim Birkner from the USA. You helped me back in 2012 but I have not heard from you i a long time. I sent emails but not sure if you received them. I just wanted to check on your work and see if you are available to email me? I hope your doing well my friend.

You help me find many of my ancestors in Vienna and even sent me data on their history! it was the best gift that I ever received in my life. I am truly grateful to you and your work! Hope you hear from you again soon.

Thank you,

Tim Birkner

RE: More on the Bronner family
I would love to have the details of the family connection. Can you send me some linking information? I know a great deal about the Bronners from Sporyz in Poland, from whom Jacob Bronner of Vienna's Jewish Museum descended. I think I know of all his brothers and their children and I cannot find Gerhard. BUT I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY TO BE PROVED WRONG! and so would the living Bronners, one of whom asked me about the possible connection just yesterday.

So please help by giving me the details,

wilfred

More on the Bronner family
I can now answer my own question...sorry.
I found on wikipedia.de that Gerhard's parents were Jakob and Sarah. MY Bronners' parents were Adolf(Abraham) and Amalia (Malkah) so Gerhard and my folk were not close relatives, if at all

The Bronner Family
Dear Bernhard, I am researching the Bronner family, formerly of Vienna, of which my late dear friend Felix Bronner was a member. I have seen a reference that Gerhard Bronner was the nephew of Yaakov Bronner former director of the Jewish Museum in Vienna, who was my friend Felix's uncle. But I have not been able to find any direct paper trail connection between Gerhard and the Bronners whom I have been researching. Do you have any information that can help me here? The Bronners that I have been looking into, are descended from Felix's grandparents,Abraham and Malka Bronner. If I can establish that Gerhard's father was also the son of Abraham and Malka, then I will have made this connection. I do hope that you will be able to help me. Wilfred Stein

Sigmund Haas
Hi Bernhard,

That you for taking a photo of Sigmund Haas's tombstone and the other photos of the WWI solders section in Zentralfriedhof Cemetery

You said "The section is for Soldiers from WW1, the numbering of the graves totally unclear ... I will check if someone in the Jewish Community has access to the original books from the cemetery" Did you find the original book and did it have any interesting information about Sigmund? For example parents names, place of death.

Would it be possible for you to copy the writing on the tombstone the next time you go to the cemetery, it is very hard to read.

Thank you very much for all the work you did in finding the location of Sigmund Haas's burial

RE: Birkner's
Thank you Bernhard!, Yes I watch a Youtube video of the cemetery, it is very large and mistical looking. I hope to one day visit your country. I lived and worked in Moscow, Russia back in 2003. It was cold! I spent 7 months there. I wanted to travel to other areas but I never did. Are from Austria? If so i bet it is beautiful there. I found cousins living here in the US related by blood. We both share the same great great grandparents. My great aunt Krindel Lea Birkner was married to a man named Wolf Kormis, they both died in WW-2, in Theresienstadt in 1942 & 1943, both in thier 70's.Wolf was my cousins great grandfather. Im just now learning the history of my family. It's an amazing journey! Away, thanks again for all you have done and well continue to do. Im 46 years old and still learning history..lol. Never too old to learn I say.
