I live in the North Yorkshire area of the UK and am happy to photo volunteer in my area|
I do work full time but will update and changes and corrections daily if I can. I am currently transcribing burial records for my local area. I also 'mow the rows' of local churches and am in the process of uploading the photos for these also
I am fascinated by local history and have found some wonderful stories on my travels as well as some very poignant ones
If you have any changes that need to be made to any of the memorials I am adding then please go through the correct Suggest a Correction format so I can process them easier - thank you
If anyone wants to use any of the gravestone images I have added for their personal use, please do so. I don't need contacting about permission and if any of the memorials that I have created are family or friends and you would like to manage them then please ask. I'm more than happy to transfer

Hello, I notice that you photograph gravestones from St Olave's York. I wonder if you would be so kind as to photograph the memorial already transcribed of Mary Bell d 1837, George 1853 & John 1854 (all on one gravestone).
I am happy to share the info. I have on this family of curriers in Marygate.
With many thanks,

Thanks for the improved image of his memorial; I have just shared it with Darwin's leading biographer Janet Browne of Harvard University, US.
Both Margaret and John have been moved
Thank you for your help

If you read the church bio you will find that she and husband Sir John Stapleton are in the correct place.

Thank you for contacting me! I would love to take over her memorial (I've just never done that, so I'm not sure how to do it or what it entails). And if you manage to get a photo of her grave, or her husband William, I would very much appreciate it!! Thank you!

Hi! I was transcribing grave photos and came upon this one of yours with a name that matches an existing memorial, the memorial number of which is 56697368. Perhaps you could add your photo of the grave to the memorial. I'm sure it would be appreciated!

My apologies, I am so sorry, guess I wasn't paying close attention when I upload. It has been removed. Take care, Gayle

You had a photo that was placed for transcription, the photo is a sideways photo of a headstone with the grave area outlined. I tried to transcribe the photo via the new "transcribe a headstone" feature and it took me to a different memorial page for a different Ethel Harrison.
If you can locate the photo, the headstone reads:
IN MEMORY OF
OUR DEAR MOTHER
18TH NOVEMBER 1967(?)
AGED 71 (?74) YEARS
I save the photos to make them negatives in order to read them. If you need me to e-mail you the photo, please let me know. I will hold it for one week.
Hope this helps!
