I am 49 years old at the time of this update posting.Lived in Des Moines, Iowa for 10 years and moved back to Spring Hope NC when my mother passed.
I try to post friends and relatives deaths if I know the information, And I pray that I get it correct. So if you see any errors please let me know by email,email@example.com .And I will do my best to correct the information.If you have
death notices that you wish to see on the Find A Grave site but do not have access or know how to do it.Also email me and let me know the information and I will if I can get it up for you.
There are times that I visit a cemetery especially very old graves and can not read the entire information as far as date of birth or death, even the name is hard to read sometimes, so I apologize in advance if I error on some grave information,If you find an error please let me know.

Hi Dennis, I hope life has been very good to you and for you. As I have been working on trying to get my family tree together I came across my great grandmother (Hester Battle, 1864 - 1949) buried at Union Hill Baptist Church and I hoping that you can sign her over to me. Thank you in advance and God bless.

Hi Dennis- I was surprised to find my great grandparents on here- thanks! I have some information to add if you don't mind. Mamie was not actually Ma Peele's birth name but it was the name she was known by all her life. We're pretty sure it was Flonnie Mae Wells. My mom has copies of her birth and death certificates and is trying to locate them. I noticed that on Pa Peele's death certificate it says Mamie also. I think it was just the name that she used so much it just became that. I remember them well and have a few small things here to remember them by.
My grandparents are also now buried in that cemetery and I plan to link them as soon as I can get a picture, along with a few other relatives.

I would like to have the memorial of Jack Daniel Farmer in the Bailey Cemetery. He was a very specail second father to me. I think it would be appropriate and he would approve of me to have his memorial. Thanks, Sherry

Hi Dennis :::waving:::
Ok, go to Betty's Memorial and see where she is buried, then go to the main page which describes this Cemetery. There are only 5 burials there (sad to say, there may be a 6th one in the near future).
The Cemetery you had her in is actually in Nashville, Nash North Carolina. It used to be identified as Castalia, but during the early 1950's the Postal Service re-assigned that location's zip code to Nashville. Key word here is "1950's." However, as you know old habits die hard, and people still refer to the family cemetery in obituaries today as Castalia when they know it's Nashville. ;'-(
I am trying to work with Find A Grave because there are actually four (4) Avent Cemeteries in Nash County, each having distinctly different address locations. Yesterday I painstakingly established each individual Cemetery by name and address, provided photos associated with all 3 Cemetery addresses in individual emails, then moved each family member to the "correct" location. Today when I logged on I found that Find A Grave had taken my photos and placed them on that erroneous Castalia location, Moved the memorials that I had painstakingly re-located BACK to that erroneous location and placed the cemetery photos there!! Needless to say, I am LIVID!! lol
When I calm down, I'm going to try once again to explain it to them, Again. :-) Thanks for your support
Blessings, Sandi :-)
