Wendy I was just looking at the Memorial Page of Ellen's & I noticed she was born in Highland County Ok. That is where our Hurst came from.
Do you Know who her father & mother was & also who her brothers & sisters were?
Here is some additional information for you.
MY 2nd G. Grandfather was John Hurst born in Oh. in 1803, buried in Franklin Cemetery north of Benton in Franklin County Ill. He had a brother Maschach (may be misspelled) b1812 also buried there we think. They had a 3rd brother Bennett Hurst, we think, buried in Wilson Cemetery in Cambria Ill.
My ancestors are as follows:
Frances Hurst father
Hosea Hurst grandfather
Levi Hurst great grandfather
John Hurst (Jr.) b1803 Ohio 2nd Great Grandfather
John Hurst (Sr.) was my 3rd great grandfather not sure when he was born or where.
|alice hurst||Hosea Hurst & Chris Sterns|
Hosea Hurst b 2-24-1878 in either Franklin Co Ill
or Clay County Ill. but most likely Franklin County. He died 5-1-1932 Poinsett County Arkansas, Burial Clark Cemetery Poinsett County Ar.
His father was Levi Hurst of Franklin County Ill.
His mother was Mahulda Hurst Vance White of Clay County Ill.
I have done a lot of work in connecting the different graves sites together.
Here is my email address you can contact me on & I will send to you 2 pictures of Chris Sterns.
Do you know where Thomas Ebenezer & Mary Jane are buried? Also where Ellen Hurst Stern Stotlar is buried? I have heard about the Stotlar but do not know anything about them.
Thanks, Alice Hurst

Wendy I saw your name listed on several Find A Grave memorial pages for the Stearns. Some were buried in Cundiff Cemetery in southern Ill.
Do you know if any of the Sterns that you maintain their memorial pages are related to Christopher (Chris) & Lucy Sterns that are buried in Cundiff Cemetery in Williamson County Ill, (I think the county is correct.)
My grandfather was Hosea Hurst & he said he had a cousin Chris Sterns. I am wondering if any of the Sterns Stearns that you maintain are related to Christopher Sterns buried in Cundiff?I don't know who Chris other family was other than his wife.
Thank you for any information you can give me.

Also, For Lulu Ketzel. She is buried in a section of single adult graves. Louise Downey d1924 is to her right and Emma Brown d 1956 is to her left.
Here is the list of names that was created. I used this information to create memorial for Midland City Cemetery. I also walked the entire cemetery and took photos of all the stones and uploaded them. You could call the cemetery office and ask them if they have them in their records.
