Geneology research and the work that goes with it keeps me quite busy in my spare time. I started out years ago walking old cemeteries looking for the graves of my great, great grandparents. |
About 5 years ago, I surprised my Dad with a "cemetery trip" for Father's Day, to show him the monument and graves of his great grandparents. I still keep walking the cemeteries, looking for past relatives, beautiful markers, heartfelt sentiments...
Any burial record that I added with an obituary, is related to my "family" or someone that I knew or added to help others with family history. Those with just dates and pictures were recorded during one of my cemetery walks... Because the gravestone looked old, the lighting of the sun was just right, I liked the name...
My daughter and my grandchildren now sometimes join me on my walks. I am hoping to train a new generation or two to appreciate and respect the cemeteries, and the history that lies within them.
I hope the memorials and pictures are helpful to loved ones. If the information is incorrect, please let me know, or if you want the memorial removed, please email me.

Thank you for adding this memorial. This is my grandfather (Ralph Grommes, memorial #48166284) and I would very grateful if you could please transfer his memorial to me for future management. Thank you and have a great week!

Thank you for adding this memorial. This is my grandmother (Catherine Grommes, memorial #48245808) and I would very grateful if you could please transfer her memorial to me for future management. Thank you and have a great week!
My name is Richard Molitor. I would like something changed on this memorial.Under the names on the stone there is a Baby Richard Jr either Molitor or Patterman. It is Molitor our still born son. The other names are my grand parents and Uncles. So It should read " Baby Richard Jr.Molitor 8-18-1964 . This is at Marywood Cemetary.
Thank you for the edits and links for Mercer Finnie and Mary Finnie Kennedy. Your kindness is appreciated.

Find A Grave Memorial# 19677952
Are you related to Earl? He is a very distant cousin. I have a letter written by his father's sister, Littie Vilven to my great-great aunt in March of 1898 announcing his arrival. I would love for his family to have the letter.

Janet Rossig Lyle Johannessen is a cousin to my husband. Do you know if there are any descendants of hers alive and willing to talk to me concerning Janet's grandparents and great grandparents? I am trying to find out more about these relatives who came to America in 1871.
