You are welcome.

Hi to you too! :) I would love to help you gain access to the correct area. when you come in off of exit 123. you can only go one way and you will not turn until you get to Union Cemetery. from exit 123 you will pass the correctional institution on the right side of the road about 1/2 mile down the road past the prison on the right is broadwell drive (it is the only turn to your right before the cemetery) on the right side of the road past broadwell drive (it is immediately after broadwell drive so slow way down) is NEW UNION CEMETERY. Your family is in OLD UNION CEMETERY. So you will NOT turn RIGHT, instead you will take the 1st turn to the LEFT which is directly across the street from NEW UNION.
Once you get to the entrance of Old Union you will keep RIGHT (on the left is holy cross cemetery) there are 2 cemeteries side by side keep RIGHT to OLD UNION (you can see it from the road). your sites are pretty close to the middle front on the right side of the cemetery... I hope this helps you

Yes I have the correct Murdo. My mother was the oldest daughter of Mary Mcdonald who was his daughter. I have a lette and picture of Murdo delivered in 1902 to his granddaughter Henrietta Lasell. This in turn was given to my mother.

Please send me a photo of your 1987 Sarah Hudson stone. Thanks, Bette

I would guess that the headstone is gone, I did not see it when I went to the cemetery in 2011. I would say that my picture is of the footstone.

Barbara, I took my information from an old recording of the cemetery. Perhaps he was buried in Southold and moved to Mattituck at some point. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of his grave.
Let me know what you discover.
