My husband and I started researching our family histories in the late 1970s. That research eventually led me to Find A Grave, this excellent site for sharing information. |
Mistakes are inevitable so if you find any, let me know using the EDIT tab on that memorial page.
About transfers...some seem to expect management of memorials for all family & friends. According to Find A Grave, "Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations, this includes your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents". That's not to say I won't consider transfers outside the guidelines. When asking for a memorial update or a memorial to be transferred to you, always use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial page, then "SUGGEST A CORRECTION" rather than posting a message.

Thank you for adding their headstone photo. I had seen it on the site, but was unsure if they gave license to distribute. Are you of relation? I have many original photos of Leslie and Edna and of Lesilie's family that I would love to give to desendants. Thanks Again!

|BG||Henry Cleburne Franks|
Hi, Thanks for putting Henry on Find-A-Grave. I'm afraid he now has three memorials on here. It would be nice if they could all be combined on the memorial up at Holly Springs in Montalba. There is a double marker with his first wife there and a memorial with H Cleburne Franks #31157345.
I found all three memorial simply by typing in H Cleburne Franks in "Begin New Search" on Find-A-Grave. In addition to your memorial #20481739 there is another #43855746 (I have contacted them, also).
I do realize his body was donated. Family, however usually put up a marker so they will have a grave to visit.
Thanks for all your work.
