I came to this site for the purpose of conducting family research and organizing this research into a grand memorial to honor my family. It was intended to be something that succeeding generations can come to learn about their ancestral past. It is my gift to my family. |
I have extended the focus of the memorials I create to include friends, family, and people with whom I am somehow connected. Along the way I will create memorials for others and upload photos to memorials as well, especially for veterans and those trying to do their own family research. Hopefully I may be of some help to someone. If I create such a memorial and you, as a family member, make a request for a transfer I will gladly transfer the memorial to your care no questions asked. I hate those anal jerks who refuse to transfer out of guidelines. After all, it's your family. You should be the one to determine how that person is memorialized and remembered. I will not transfer a memorial for any of my family members however. I will likewise not permit anyone other than other family members to use any of my family photos or download same. If I download a photo for you to one of your memorials feel free to use your photo any way you wish.
I live a few blocks from Holy Name Cemetery in Jersey City. I enjoy fulfilling photo requests for this cemetery, and often scan Find A Grave for memorials for persons buried in HNC that don't have grave marker photos. If you have a special photo request for this cemetery just let me know.

You're very welcome ! Yes I saw the remark and it ticked me off a little. Was sorry I had no way to contact her. LOL does she think there are gangs of people ready to take on a cemetery the size of a small town ? Last count was abt half a million burials. Maybe she needs to google earth the place. I'm happy if I can find a few requests each time I go. I started going only because there were so many requests, my primary Cemetery is under control so I thought I'd try to help out. Oh well, such is life lol. Have a great day ! Martha

There are quite a few requests for photos for this cemetery. Do you or have any idea why none are being full filled?
I am particularly interested in USMC Leo Biross. He needs that tombstone photo if at all possible.
Thanks for posting him,

It was no problem at all. I only live about a mile from the cemetery. Someone else had added a picture , but didn't
claim it on find a grave. So now you have 2 pictures.
I also added a memorial for Benedict, who is in the same
grave. His name is on the same stone, but he has a
military placque. I also added that picture.
Have a great day
Thanks for the link! I didn't realize they had that and I know there are tons of relatives in Holy Name. How did you figure out who was in the plot? Do you use the website or is it somewhere else? Is there a way to search by plot? Thanks so much for you help!

I am doing research on the families of Domenick Vincent Barbalinardo and his wife Amelia Calabrese Barbalinardo. I came across photos you had taken of a grave that just list Pietro Calabrese and then the name Barbalinardo. Also, there is a Giuseppe Barbalinardo attached to this same picture. Do you know how these people are connected? I obviously know about the husband and wife, but was not sure if it was safe to assume that Pietro would have been a father and Giuseppe someone's brother? Were there any more people in this plot? I wasn't sure if you happened to understand more since you were at the actual site. Thank you so much for any info you can provide.

|Amy Roberts||Anna Witkowski, burial site|
Dear Mr Myers:
Thank you so much for taking and posting the picture of the burial site of my relatives. I so appreciate it. I am thinking that Anna must have been buried with her daughters, Helen and Lottie. Nice to know that they are all together. Thank you once again. Amy Roberts

Not sure how to go about this.
"In fact, I would request transfers on all your family members... Ron.
Germaine Robin Perlowski # 22868615 is the first wife of Hector Fortier and William Perlowski ( is the second husband of Germaine) # 22868619.
They are under Jean Dupon. How do I tranfer the two of them under my name? From what I have read, Jean has to transfer them to me. Any suggestions?
