There is a word for men that lose their wives, wives that lose their husbands, children that lose their parents.|
There is no word for a mother who loses her child...
If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours, don't hesitate to request a transfer.
Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation.
Searching means finding the other entry, even though it may contain an error and working together means sending an edit.
Links, Corrections, Transfers and/or additional information
If you will please use the "Edit" tab located on each memorial, I will be more than happy to correct, edit or add information to a memorial that is meaningful. I will not add all of the information from the past ten census records that have been released or any distasteful or disturbing messages.
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!!
Find a Grave does not require that I search the entire Find a Grave system globally, only the individual cemeteries in which I am adding to. Please do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate. For further information on this, please refer to how Find a Grave handles duplicate memorials.
Lastly and most importantly
There are so many absolutely wonderful people that use Find-A-Grave! I am very appreciative for all of the suggested corrections, additional information and photos that have been provided. Please don't allow the rude, abusive and sometimes rather bizarre behavior of individuals to curb your enthusiasm or your want to help others.
MOTTO TO LIVE BY
"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"
- Hunter S. Thompson

Thank you so much. Now I can add the bio I prepared. I just found out about this site about a month ago in a genealogy class, so have been busy adding family information and photos. Thank you so much for putting this up for my Father.

Thank you so much.
I used to document cemeteries, but not able to to that now, do to my health.
How nice Linda. I suspect they are all related to us. I will work on it some more and if I can verify that I will let you know. Thank you.

Linda, thank you for the transfer of Rosa's daughter to our care. We will take good care of her and continue to unite my husband family.

Thank you so much for transferring my husband's great grandmother to us, and so quickly. We will take good care of her.

Thank you for entering Hugh's info. He was an uncle by marriage, although I did not know him I always wanted to find the cemetery. Would you mind taking a picture of the headstone. I believe there is a "Baby Hugh" listed on the stone. (Hopefully it will have the date on it.) Hugh's Find A Grave#11230271 in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in San Diego.
Thank you again,

🇺🇸 Thank you so much, Linda, You are the best!! I appreciate so much everything you have done to help me in this learning process I'm so thrilled to be able to maintain the sites of my Dad, Uncle and Aunt now. I have so many friends at Rosecrans, so I'm doing what I can to add pictures and information, and contacting their families as well. Like me, the families didn't know about the wonderful way we can honor our loved ones on-line. I live in Colorado, so this means the world to me. I get home to San Diego often, and spend a lot of time at Rosecrans. God bless and be with you and your family, Lynne Thompson 🇺🇸

Hi Linda, I don't know if you maintain the site of William Davisson, 72481226. If you don't, do you know who I can contact? If you do the upkeep on his site, I have additional information you can add. Bill and his family are very close family friends. Bill's wife, surviving, is Geneva. Their four children are; Shirley, Cindi, Lisa, and Tim. Bill retired from the Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water company, in San Diego. Bill was a beautiful Christian man, and the most wonderful husband, Father, and friend. He loved doing outdoor things with his family. We used to go camping a lot together. Such happy memories that I cherish. Thank you, Lynne Thompson 😃

I would appreciate it if you would transfer my Father's site ( 114689165) to my account (48713303).
My name is Nancy Cooke and Rowland Cooke is my father. I sent a request for this on May 6, but realize that it has not been transferred. Thank you very much for putting this site up and your help in the transfer.

Hi Linda, Thank you again for the wonderful photos of Chief Wilson's memorial at Holy Cross. I will be purchasing his Navy records from St. Louis, including a photo of him that I will post to his memorial. Whenever you can, do you mind taking your superb photos of the memorial stone to a Fort Rosecrans navy veteran, Find A Grave memorial # 3438879? Thanks again and have a good Memorial Day weekend. JD
