Hi Roxanne (#46997648),
cc: Kim Jacobson (#46593064)

Hi, My name is Roxanne Jordan. Catherine Montgomery was the wife of my 3rd cousin 10x's removed. I do see you have made a duplicate memorial but do have the same information that I do. Was wondering if you know which cemetery is correct. Here is a copy of the original memorial made. Created by: Kim Jacobson. Record added: Dec 31, 2006. Find A Grave Memorial# 17233694
Has the same tombstone as the one you have. I find this kind of odd. I wanted to contact you before contacting Kim and you asking about merging these two since the rule is a duplicate who ever created first has the rights to keep unless there is no direct relationship. I'm also interested in sharing information on this line along with the Hamm/ Ham's. The Ham/Hamm was my 2gr grandfathers line and the Calhoun's was my 2nd gr grandmothers. Thanks for any help, Roxie
ps you may email me @ firstname.lastname@example.org or leave me a public message. Added by Tazgirl on Aug 13, 2014 7:23 PM".
Robert replies to Roxanne, both memorials are useful and special!
1) My entry is NOT A DUPLICATE. It's the physical burial site.
2) Whereas Kim's memorial was added at the site of the actual murders. That location bears a "cenotaph", which marks the place, as a historical site.
3) But, according to competent research, there are no burials of "those killed", at that location.
4) Research also indicates, that the physical burial site is, "Calhoun Cemetery" (which is where I added my memorial).
5) I didn't add that cemetery to Find A Grave, nor the photo of the "cenotaph" - other volunteers did so.
5) Alas, there is NO "surviving" gravestone for Catherine, as a victim of the massacre (inside of "Calhoun Cemetery" - or, if one once existed - it's now "lost to time").
6) I suggest that BOTH of memorials be retained.
7) I've added a notation - pointing to Kim' work - and she may add a reciprocal notation.
That's what has been done to resolve similar, otherwise "conflicting" memorials - and following the advice of the F.A.G. Admin staff.

Thanks for linking two of Peter Cook's sons to his memorial. It was nice to get your e-mail telling me so. I don't always think to do that. I guess that is what makes Find A Grave such a nice Web Site.
I'm doing another program on how to use Find A Grave with emphasis on becoming a member, for the Traverse Area District Library in Traverse City, Michigan this fall. If there is anything you want me to tell the perspective members, let me know.

I have Joseph Hale King in my family tree. He was married to Lillian Gladys Ledlow 12-18-1946.
He died in 4-16-1954 in jefferson Co, Al . According to the marriage record he was married before and widowed. Do you know whom he was married to? Where? Why she died so young? Also do you know where Joseph Hale King would be buried? What was cause of his death? I found where his parents are buried. I would very much appreciate your reply if you can help me.
I am searching for Beulah Melba Nelson who married Rube Lyles in Marengo County. She died 14 May 1980 in Greensboro according to family members. Little is know about Rube. If you come across their headstones, please photograph and post. Thank you for all you do for genealogy.

May I use your photo of the Dodge Sphinx in a book that I am doing about Granite?
Hi Kim, I saw some of your photos from the Sugar Creek cemetary #2 and was wondering if you possibly had one for George W. Houston 1778- 1835. His wife's headstone shot is already on here. I didn't know if his just wasn't there any more or not. These are my 4 great grandparent's and I would love to have a shot of his headstone. I just thought you might by chance remember your trip there.

Kim, Is there by chance a tombstone for Patrick May at the May Cemetery? If so, is it possible to post it. I have been trying to locate information on Patrick May for an 1812 speech. Thanks, Ruby
