Franklin Parrish Sharpshooters
Steven, I have stumbled upon your virtual cemetery of the Franklin Parish Sharpshooters, Company E, 8th Louisianna Infantry, and as I have been researching my family genealogy, and found that a descendant by the name of "Reason Burns (Born in Holmes County, Mississippi) enlisted on March 12, 1862, and died at Lynchburg, VA on May 26th, 1862. His name is not among the listed. Do you have anyway of finding out how he died. I have traced his brother, "James P Bynes (I don't know why the name was spelled differently) through his enlistment into the Company C, 28th Louisianna Infantry, to his death at the Battle of Pleasant Hill (the previous night he had fought at the Battle of Mansfield, and survived). But I am at a complete loss at the death of "Reason Burns". I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you, Clairine Johnson
