I enjoy walking through cemeteries looking at the old tombstones. I have been working on my family tree for a couple of years now and am really enjoying it. I wrote a family cookbook to raise money for markers for graves in our family that remain unmarked. I believe everyone should be remembered and known even by strangers that just see a name and date on a marker.|
My family's are JARVIS,METCALF,CONANT,NORRIS,SINCLAIR,HAWK and HUDSON.
My familys are from Ohio but I live in South Carolina now so only get to visit the graves and family there once a year.
I will transfer ownership if requested for non family members.
I volunteer here and at RAOGK to take pictures of grave stones. While I am there I will take extra pictures to put on this site. I hope someone will find them of help. And remember it takes time and money to keep a Cememtery in great condition, please help where and when you can; I'm sure the Churches would appriciate you thoughtfulness. God Bless and Happy Hunting.

Thank you for the transfer. His uncle is my brother-in-law. It was very sad losing jason and now with mary Lou's passing not quite a year after her mother Faye's.
Thanks for sending the info on the cemetery. When I saw the article on Ancestry, it gave me info that was very helpful. I think it is so awesome to be able to read pages from the Athens Messenger from so many years ago. Joseph is my great-great-great-great grandfather. I wish I could identify a headstone. Thanks Doug

Thank You for the transfer.
Reason asking the info. is that the mother of a woman that married into my family appears to have been married to George, including a Jarvis...married like 3 times..difficult journey

|Jackie Ross||Alice C. Grimes-Haga Church Cemetery|
Hi, my name is Jackie and I believe that Alice C. Grimes is Alice (Winn) Grimes. She is my great-great-great aunt. She was once married to Owen Grimes of Washington County. Could you possibly turn over her to me so that I can add biography information and edit her information. Thank you!

|CathyAnnCarr||Athens Cemeteries Question|
I am hoping you know which cemetery a death certificate is referring to.
The death occurred in 1950 and it says the place of burial is "Hebbardsville, Athens, RD #1." Is that the one in Albany? Or, is it Alexander Cemetery aka Alexander-Union Cemetery on Hebardville Rd?
I googled this to know avail.
Please tell me what you think.
