I photographed Henry's stone today but it was very hard to read and the angle I photographed it is pretty much illegible. I added it to his memorial as a photo only so the request could stay active. Sorry it didn't come out well.

Seems we share a 4th great grandfather. ;-)
Please contact me regarding the above. My mother in law, the great grand daughter told me a diffrent story about this family.

I have done a lot of research on my Todd's and I discovered that Joe J. Todd was not a direct ancestor of mine. According to Bill Mosely, my Great Grandfather William Chancey Todd, was a son of Joe's, but research and family interviews told me that his rather was actually Levi Frank Todd. His rather was William John Todd III so Joe is not my Great Grandfather as I always thought. At any rate, I need to get back over there myself as I live in Tennessee.

I went to the Steven's Cemetery in Loris, S.C. looking for your requested Jacob Cannon 1839-1934
I was unable to find a marker for him. There are many small unmarked stones and some that are just to weathered to read.. Sorry I couldn't help you further..

You are very welcome.

You are certainly welcome to anything I have on our Todd family. I keep the tree on ancestry, but a good amount is information found through other sources. Please let me know how to send it to you, or we would be more than happy to send an invitation to the tree for your viewing, copying, etc.

Thank you for all the great information and photos of the Todd family of Horry County. Dennis & Mary Jane Todd are both related to my husband, Dennis being his 1st great grand uncle.
Mary Jane, 86 and widowed in 1920 was living in Dog Bluff, Horry, SC with her daughter Vina and a boarder, Oliver Singleton, 76, a widower. Her death certificate states she was born in March 1833 and died 31 August 1921, cause of death 'old age', and parents were Richard Todd and Betsy Jordon. I am curious as to where the 1909 date of death on her grave stone came from?
Thank you you again for all the care you share with this family.
