"They are not dead who live in the hearts they leave behind" - Tuscarora|
Hello Fellow Gravers!!!
I am working with a wonderful group of volunteers called IWPP (International Wargraves Photography Project). What we are doing is cross-checking the uploads and correcting any errors and duplicates made on National Cemeteries. This is a major ongoing project and if you can find time to help assist us it would be greatly appreciated.
National Cemeteries completed as of 2013:
Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery Cross County, Arkansas
CNMI Veterans Cemetery Marpi, Saipan
Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery New Castle County, DE
Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Sussex County, DE
Fort Custer National Cemetery Kalamazoo County, MI
National Cemeteries currently being Reviewed:
Alabama National Cemetery Shelby County, AL
Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery San Diego County, CA
Fort Snelling National Cemetery Minneapolis, Minnesota
Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Mateo County, CA
Long Island National Cemetery, Suffolk County, NY
Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Knox County, TN
Willamette National Cemetery Multnomah County, OR
Suggestions & Corrections: Please make sure your Memorial # is listed along with an explanation. If your correspondence is RUDE in any way, it will be ignored. This site was created to help others, not to criticize, harass or bully. Be kind to your fellow volunteers, since we are all trying to achieve the same goal of helping others on the amazing website!
If your correction is not completed within a couple of days do not send a second request. Find A Grave has a thirty day policy to have your corrections honored and as the Guidelines state Have Patience it will get done.
Transfers: For the most part I adhere to the four generation rule (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren). I will not transfer bulk surname requests so please do not ask Transfer Request Guidelines.
If you do not want the memorial transferred but have accurate information to add, I will be more than happy to add it and credit you with the information.

T o mark the centenary of the start of ww1 I am writing a booklet about the soldiers from my home village (sproxton, Leicestershire, England) who gave their lives in the war and whose names appear on the war memorial in our church.
I have found your image of the war memorial at Thiepval in Picardie, showing the name of Bertie Draper, (died 8.8.16) who is one of the 8 names on our war memorial.
I am writing to ask if I could have your permission to use your photo showing the name of B Draper on the Thiepval memorial, to put in my booklet. It will be a non profit-making publication, which I am putting together to honour these brave men who gave their lives.
I have only just joined findagrave.com this morning, so am very unfamiliar with using the site, and apologise if I am contravening any site rules, etc.

Hi Cindy, Thank you for your thoughtfulness. I checked the Wylie Hanna and Leah Hatch Hanna memorial pages yesterday morning, and saw your photos were posted at that time. I've now added my "broad view" photos. Please, kindly re-post your "close up" photos to the Hanna memorial pages! Thank you for your efforts on Find A Grave!

Thanks!!! I am currently working on the family on ancestry and didn't realize I had so many photos. Thanks for adding her to findagrave. I went to the cemetery, but couldn't find her tombstone. The cemetery is quite large. Take Care!

Thank you very much

Thank you very much. I have a question for you. Maurcie "Virginia" Lort, is buried with her husband Richard at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery. I have seen where they put a headstone down, for people who were in the military. They may not necessarily be buried at that exact spot, I think they do it to honor their service to our Country. However, Maurcie, wasn't in the military, her husband was. And I have found the same Maurcie, same birth/death date, same exact name, but buried in Opp, Alabama. From what I know of our family, we have no connection to Opp?

His wife is my great aunt - Bernadine Caroline Willette - I was in MN & trying to locate family graves.
